Closed !

This pub has finally closed... not surprising really.
Rubbish beer, TV screens everywhere and no atmosphere.
There is a shortage of pubs in North Finchley- the Bohemia is well worth a visit.. And the Tally-ho is ok too..
Will be interesting to see what it becomes, it is quite an historic coaching inn... It has a lot of potential.
Needs a total revamp.

Great place for a drink!

Get there for a drink! Great selection of drinks, good service, friendly staff. All worth the visit. Locals, business people, tourists. Decent price for drinks.

Desperate
Oct 2015 • Solo
Whoever owns this now has no interest in running a pub. They've built a horrific "decking" terrace at the front of what is actually a nice coaching inn. The whole frontage is now plastered with signs for a car wash. Soulless inside - and that's being kind. Unpleasant, anti-social atmosphere, even with only 3/4 people at the bar. Big screens with loud MTV blaring away. Pool table dominates the place. Avoid. No matter how desperate you are, this is not a place to spend your money. It is an anti-pub, and the sooner it dies a natural death, the better. A contemptible establishment.

Never any character and rarely open
Mar 2015 • Solo
This place is shut half the time you pass by and it's pretty much always empty when it does happen to be open. The staff are never particularly friendly or up for banter, and the drinks are mediocre without much on offer in the way of local pints or unique mixers. There is a billiards table for anyone looking for a game, and there are a few picnic tables out front for the smokers. Overall you're better heading into North Finchley or up to Whetstone though and giving this place a miss.
