Lots of black, gig posters/flyers/slaps and loud music. A classic metal pub. went on a weekend afternoon, good few Camden Market drop-ins plus the regular bar flies, nice few beers and after chatting to the Dj he put on a few misfits/danzig tunes for us before returning to the blacker end of the metal spectrum. Very nice.

I was out at the dev on my birthday and had the worse treatment ever. I've lived in 4 diferente countries and I never ever saw any staff treating customers so rudely in my entire life. First I called the girl to say nobody was serving the side I was. She was as rude as possible saying that she was busy with another customer. Even not deserving I kindly asked her to give me a beer after serving her customer. Believe it or not, she basically ignored me with a horrible face like the worse thing on earth was being there doing what she was doing. Well, find another job instead of spreading rudeness? After a while, yet not being served, the guy was around I asked him to please serve me because nobody was coming to the side of the bar I was. He told me to wait (like always they do) and when he came back I said- ahhhh thanks finally half an hour I'm standing here. To obviously joke and give them feedback? the customers aren't happy? Instead of saying "sorry about that" and spread kindness, he insulted me I felt terrified when he replied saying- ok wait for other 5 minutes. Turned around and totally ignored, unbelievable!! This experience at the dev with poor horrible customer service isn't the first i had. Other two times i stood up and went to drink somewhere else because I had the feeling like I was bothering the staff that obviously hate working there. For the owners and managers: you are loosing lots of money with the currently staffing you wrongly let there to serve us. It isn't only me saying. I have friends that prefer to drink anywhere else before heading to the Dev.

To be honest I don’t think any metal bar can top the Dev in London! It’s very nice and cozy place, amazing staff and extremely friendly! Got few rounds of shots for free- and you think there’s no more nice people in the world! Definitely check it out!

Was taken here by a friend before a gig last year and loved it immediately. Great metal bar with a decent selection of beers. Have been another two times since and bought new people both times all of which have enjoyed the place. Without a doubt my new favourite pub to go to before gigs in and around Camden! Prices are not overly excessive either and they have hobgoblin on tap which is always a delight! Staff are friendly and we're more than willing to take song requests. Will definitely be visiting here again next gig I go to in Camden!
