This is a lovely proper boozer and found the locals friendly as well. Have to lose a rating though as it was Sunday afternoon and the food we ordered took an absolute age (1hr +) to come out and then the 4 meals didn’t come at the same time. That was a shame but otherwise it was a nice experience. Perhaps eat first before going there or ask how long it will take

We are staying in London at the moment as our son is recovering from surgery at St Thomas, this pub was just a short walk from the hospital.
We were able to go here for two afternoons and both afternoons we received the warmest welcome from the two lovely gentlemen behind the bar
The second afternoon we visited, Sean, ‘The Madonna Fan’ was hilarious and gave us a lovely welcome. It is such a pleasure to be greeted in such a lovely cheery way as so many people present as miserable these days.
Highly recommend this beautiful pub❤️

Called into this pub for a drink.Sky sports showing football on a Sat.Plenty of room as its 100 meters off main kennington rd Waterloo.
Good priced drinks for London.
Bar meals were cheap £6.
Ham egg and chips for that price and your usual pub meals all similarily priced.
Tried some of the meals, great value.
If you want first class meal go to a restaurant.
If you just want food at good value near Days Inn Hotel Waterloo.
Pineapple pub is a great choice.

The pub is nice. Traditional place. It's the pub around the corner. No food on Sunday... But still a good place. Friendly and cool.

We ran across The Pineapple while we were out sightseeing and looking for a bite. Several places were closed for New Year's Day, but we found this pub and I joyfully had a glass of red wine. This was a great ending to our vacation; there were several regulars and it was pleasant to hear the lovely accents. Hopefully, we will return again soon.

I was staying at a hotel nearby and decided to have a lunch here, since it looks nice and very British. I had fish and chips, but was really disappointed that you could really tell that everything was frozen and then thrown into the deep fryer. Not even the potatoes were fresh, or the peas.
Not terrible, but not worth having lunch here just to eat some frozen foods.

Cheap for London. Four quid a pint this close to town. Therefore worth a visit. My new local. So enjoy.

Found this pub as a tourist and what a great little spot. Nice people, good beer and just had a ham and cheese jacket and all reasonable prices. Nice stopping place in your way too the Imperial War Museum
