Myself and my daughter went in here for lunch, the manager took us to our table, it was near the hatch were the food came out, which was fine, the food was just pub food but was ok. Just as we were finishing this other woman who I think was some sort of manager, started having a right old go at this young waitress, it was shocking, we heard her say she wasn’t working hard enough, but we were also saying that she had never stopped all the time we had been in there, she was very attentive to us and very professional, the manager was a right bully, hence we will not be going back.

Much like most bars within Canary Wharf, The Slug and Lettuce is hugely overcrowded on a Thursday and Friday, with service at the bar sometimes being painfully slow!
The bar itself is nothing special, no thrills, Wilk the food being standard overpriced bar food. In summary, plenty of other places to go in Canary Wharf.

The afro Caribbean lady behind the bar has a huge ship on her shoulder, after standing at the bar being ignored for over 40mins my friend complained to the bar Manager John. He was very apologetic and gave us a bottle of wine for free.
However it doesn't excuse poor service and a bad attitude.
My message to this girl get a job you enjoy so you don't behave so poorly towards your clients. (Visit date 30th March 2017)

Booked a table back in October for me and my family. The booking was made online for December and The booking system took details of how many children were in the party. I received a confirmation so was happy. They called me at lunchtime on the day of the booking to say they didn’t allow children and we couldn’t come! Why didn’t they do that when I booked it six weeks ago. I would have had lots of time to make another booking. We were already in London when they rang and didn’t have a hope in hell of getting another dinner booking this late in the day. Thanks a bunch!

Great spot to have a rest and a beer or lighter drink. Right in the middle of all the eateries and skyscrapers and docks and next to the shopping mall. Well worth a visit.

Not a usual venue for me but when the queues are stretching in Canary Wharf at lunchtime these guys are amazing at turning tables> food is fresh and tasty, service friendly and smiley. Recommend.

Been twice already in Canary wharf. The first time it took me approximately 20min+ to get a drink. This time, we got drinks right away, but had to show a Google screen-shot to the bar attendant as he had n which cocktail I was asking about. Then we got fun with no cutlery. So we had to ask for a fork and knife..
Feels like that this place is waste of space for such a nice locations.

This bar is well placed in Canary Wharf, its large and airy but thats were it ends. Waiting time at the bar on a Saturday afternoon was painful, the place was not busy but wow the staff are slow to serve and slow in all other departments, we left without ordering after 10 minutes.
There are plenty of bars in this vibrant area, the only way it will pick up is to vote with your feet, let them know how you feel at the tills, profit wise that is, its lost my custom forever!

Drinks are fine, the food is ok for pub-like expectations. Staff isn't great or very efficient but generally quite friendly.
