Never complained about anything on social media but this time I will because I've never seen such a masive nonsense in my life.. I was heading home after a full day at work, decided to stop at Belushis for dinner as I find it the only decent pub for food in the area and I was refused entrance by the bouncer just before 8:30 on a Thursday night because I didnt have my ID with me... I don't have a driving license and who is carrying the passport with them at all times... you guys became tougher than the UK Boarders.. the pub wasn't even full like a weekend night.. I could see empty tables from outside. So what's so special about this pub that you need ID for dinner at 8:30 on a Thursday night.. I work in the same industry and I believe you guys don't really care about your costumers or someone should make briefings with bouncers before they start their shift... or just change the security company... don't know guys... your business your call... sorry for 1 star

Super welcoming

Awesome place to stay. Jack and Ryan made me feel insanely welcome from day one, including joining me for a drink after they finished work when they knew I didn't know anyone. Tina, Mikey, Simon, Grace and everyone I've met behind the bar have all helped me settle into moving over here. I was really lucky to stumble into this hostel on my first weekend in London, I'm not sure I would have felt so comfortable anywhere else. I've stayed here a few times since that weekend, as well as St Christopher's in Hammersmith, and Gare du Nord in Paris. Shep bush is the best hostel I've stayed in - especially for someone on their own.

I have a great time staying at this hostel. Always a good vibe and the staff are super welcoming and friendly! It's great how close it is to the tube station and the beds are so comfortable.
A great place to meet other travellers and make wonderful friends!
I would highly recommend staying here.

Super lovely door staff!

A group of us including my 14 year old daughter struggled to find anywhere accommodating around Shepherds Bush before a gig. The door staff were fantastic and understanding. We only had a quick drink, but will be back.

Good bar for sports

Had breakfast here one morning and it was nice. We easily got a table so there is no need to pre book. Also came here in the afternoon before the football. It's one of very few pubs that will accept away fans in. It's about a 20minute walk from Loftus Road and it's directly opposite Shepherds Bush tube station so it's a good meeting point.

Avoid if looking for food

Came in here for a drink and to watch football. The rotund bar lady casually ate bits of customers food with her hands as it sat waiting to be taken out to tables. Wouldn't touch with a barge pole

Not a place for a quiet drink.. or hot food
Dec 2016 • Friends
Visited on a Wednesday evening, place was quiet in comparison to other places around Shepard's bush..

Happy hour from 5 to 8.. so ordered a cocktail jug.. barman informed us that they had run out of Triple Sec and he'd use archers instead.. ODD

Decided to eat as well... BAD MISTAKE

despite running through the order THREE times with the barman, Food turned up LUKE WARM..

Decided not to argue with the now unfriendly staff and left

All in all, a very disappointing visit

Only commenting about the bar.

What a night. The music was hard and heavy. Football on the TV.Friendly relaxed atmosphere with welcoming staff - unlike a certain brand chain within a 100yds. It's a good night out for lads wanting beer music and football. As for the hostel guests, the couple we spoke too was just passing through but equally enjoying the night.I'D go again definitely.

Had a great night
Nov 2016 • Friends
Went to the bar here recently to visit friends who were staying in the hostel. Will definitely be coming back! Had an awesome night, there was some live music on and then a DJ after that. Good choice of drinks, not a long wait at the bar even though it was busy. Friends who were staying at the hostel said their room was nice.
