My local's quizone night was cancelled and looking round for another I stumbled on the Sylvan Post. The pub is an old Post Office and included lots of original features like being able to spend the night sitting in the old Safe. The quiz was great made hugely entertaining by the quiz master who's various rambert ingredients became more funny and outrageous as the night went on. Really dissapointed . We arrived at our booked time of 2.45. The waitress took our drinks order. The venue looked promising with a nice atmosphere, however 15 mins later waitress came back with the news there was no roasts left except 2 chicken - my daughter and I were just saying how anemic the chicken looked. So we left. I didn’t pay for the drinks - we had booked for lunch and should have been informed of the situation before we sat down. Very cute and vintage. Small selection of drinks but it's good enough. Staff are friendly, food is good- not amazing but still good quality. I would eat here again. They have board games to the side and loads of cool seating areas. It's a very chilled vibe and has good evening entertainment such as quizzes and the such which are always a good laugh. I just love that I found this place when I moved, it's definitely a favorite boozer of mine in London. …

I've been in her a couple of times. The wine and beer are good as is the food, and it is a really quirky setting. Not that friendly and welcoming though unless you look a certain way.
