Neighborhood: Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.

Very Disappointing
Dec 2019
We have been coming to this place for over 30 years as a collective group of choirs however, today 8th December at 12:15 main doors were locked so we could not enter the premises. We waited further 20 minutes with the doors still locked, lights off and no staff members inside to be seen. After long wait we decided to go to Chelsea Potter. Usually its 30 to 40 of us. We won't be coming back as our family members were disappointed that the venue that we described so highly was close for no reason.

Truly awful
Nov 2019
We went there last night. I tried to order pint of Young's beer . What I was served looked like Thames water. This was changed for a pint of Sam Brookes red ale...Very missable.. we then ordered 3 meals.. Which took about 45 minutes to arrive. All the meals were cold when served .. I sent mine back and it was re - heated in the microwave.. The food was dreadful...Avoid if possible...

Poor service, bring back the Irish Landlord
Nov 2019 • Business
The Coopers Arms was my local for many years till I moved from Chelsea, on a recent trip to London I decided to pay a visit to my beloved local, had some food with my colleagues which was very nice, but the service was really really awful, I guess Colm the old Landlord (Irish chap) has moved on, What a shame as its the hidden gem in Chelsea, What a cracking pub if the service was sorted out

Nice decor,pity about

A very pleasant pub with modern layout and nice decor which was somewhat spoiled
by a large moose head on one wall.A good range of real ales available with a limited lunch time menu ,staff were friendly and welcoming.Food and drinks were London prices ,our sausages and mash were OK but not value for money.

Atmospheric, but pricey
May 2019 • Friends
We stopped for drinks only. Plenty of seating and a great friendly pub.

We found the prices of drinks to be pretty high! Although its a nice place, I wouldn't return.

Tasty Food
Feb 2019 • Couples
My husband had booked a table in this popular pub, very noisy and very crowded when we arrived, mainly because of the rugby on the large TV in the bar. The bar is not huge and we had difficulty getting heard.
Anyway, eventually we were taken through to the rear of the bar and given seats by the fireplace. A warm spot, comfortable armchairs, although not really conducive to eating a meal.
Friendly staff took our order, a slow cooked beef stew which was very tasty with plenty of meat content and a vegetarian tart. Both meals were very good, although the tart was a little overloaded with pastry.
We were, as said, comfortably seated, but ideally a proper table and chairs would have been better. Some people were eating in the main bar, under the TV, but that would have been quite unpleasant unless you like people yelling over your head!
The meals were fairly priced seeing as we were in the middle of Chelsea and the staff were friendly and did their best to accommodate us. I just felt the place was not really geared up to have people eating early, (we had booked a table for 6 p.m.) and with hindsight I think we should have found somewhere without the ubiquitous TV.
Still, I cannot complain as we booked it, it's a very popular place, nice atmosphere and I would drink there, but not eat in future unless guaranteed a decent table.

Excellent

An excellent pub just off the Kings Road. We visited on a Monday afternoon in late November and
it was full of Christmas cheer, with a lovely tree and friendly atmosphere.

Excellent service, decent food and a well stocked bar with a good range of well kept beers.

There is a cosy outside terrace. They have a selection of board games, a good open fire and comfortable furnishings.

Good food, scrabble, too
Oct 2018 • Couples
A pub with some nice vegetarian selections, the most helpful waiter I've ever had, a great pub feel (very comfortable) and there are games like scrabble out for customers to sit back and play. Lovely neighborhood feel and there food's good, too.
