We came here with some friends and had a warm welcome great time (even the World Cup semi final didn’t put us off) Great beer and an ideal location in a quiet(ish) spot near Paddington station.

Enjoying our drinks sitting outside in the fresh air on this busy Friday afternoon ( 17:30 ) Most of the area is booked for an event. Staff are good

I went there for lunch on Friday. Almost empty. We chose Cumberland sausages and mashed patatoes. Very good, tasty and abundant (3 sausages and plenty of great mashed patatoes). My pint of cider was in line with expectations. Service was very friendly and helpful. Definitively...More

Good bar staff, lovely beer and cider at reasonable prices, food is a lot better than you would expect from a pub, no jukebox or tvs so can have a chat and hear yourself. would highly recommend.

We popped over for an evening meal to the MONKEY PUZZLE whilst staying at the SHAFTESBURY METROPOLIS opposite to the pub. We expected standard pub grub, but found it to exceed expectations both in choice, quantity and quality. Reasonable prices too. Sandy
