The Oakwood Tavern has improved a hell of a lot since the new landlord, Tim Doyle, took over, at least he thinks about the customers and NOT the contents of his wallet???

This is a gem of a pub next near Oakwood underground. As a converted shop it isn’t the most attractive pub, but being an Irish pub the bar staff can actually run a bar. Very popular with locals. Used to drink their a lot ten years ago and most of the clientele were the same. Good for watching sport.

This is really what I call a drinking mans pub. Lots of regulars. Friendly staff but not the place for romantic evening with your partner
