We had a "mixed family" Christmas Eve dinner here, and it was superb. The decorations were thoughtfully and beautifully done (not overdone!),making everything gorgeous. The staff are all welcoming, the service is impeccable, and the food is wonderful.

I had been to this restaurant during its previous incarnation.ownership (The Grain Store), when it had a loft-like decor, and the service was indifferent --at best.

Granary Square is an entirely different experience, and I would highly recommend it.

As a bonus, all of the Kings Cross area is beautifully illuminated in white lights, and there are a plethora of trains and taxis in the area, making it easily accessible for all.

Great place to take the children on a sunny day.

Lots of seating around the fountains. Not much shade if it’s very hot.

There was a couple of restaurants around the outside and an ice cream van. We took a few snacks with us.

It’s about 15 minutes walk from Kings Cross station.

I must say we were strongly recommended to try this restaurant so I hope our experience was exceptional.
They ran out of clean wine glasses so they tried to pour our expensive wine into beer glasses !
When the food arrived it was literally thrown at us by a very aggressive waiter
The food was cold the fish was dry and burnt and the vegetables were like mush and over cooked - we refused to eat any of it.
The managers did try very hard but recognised it was a complete disaster
They very kindly did not charge us for any drinks which was thoughtful
So thank you for that

Do I try again - hmmm let’s see

Kids are entertained, enough food & drink places to be satisfied, super convenient to get to. Take your towel and sunblock. Brickwork can be a bit slippery for kids though!

A short walk from Kings Cross station is Granary Square - just across the canal an area of dancing fountains ideal for kids to explore and let of some steam in the cool water feature. Just make sure and take a change of clothes & towel as you won’t be able to keep them out. (Tip is some suitable footwear as it can get sloppy if they run)
Nearby the canal has a stepped area idea for a picnic lunch so you can make a day of it.

On a sunny summer day this is a great place to go and watch the dancing fountains and sit and eat a bite in the open air by the canal. It's just at the back of St Pancras Station and has shops and eateries.

It was a warm sunny evening so we thought we’d try the Brasserie just round the corner from the flat. The area was very busy but we spotted a free table for two just outside the door. We waited a while before a waitress arrived and intoned with a deadpan face: “Seating is a 45 minute wait, inside and out.” I asked about the free table and was told it was
only for drinks. So I said we’d just like to have a drink then. She said: “Seating is a 45 minute wait, inside and out.” I said yes but we only want a drink. She said: “Seating is a 45 minute wait, inside and out.” My goodness, a front of house robot would have had more charm! In frustration I asked her to explain why we couldn’t sit at the empty table. She finally said something different about being at capacity.

In the future when the restaurant is hoping people will come in from the cold to fill their empty tables, they might reflect on how they should have treated their potential customers better - because I am now thoroughly put off the place before I’ve even got inside.

Had a great dinner finding this place was a very fortuitous event. Beer was great, flavors really popped. A bit loud but ambiance great for London night scene. Highly recommend.

Wide open space up a gentle incline behind St Pancras Square. Restaurants around the edge borders the houseboat filled canal. Take a walk on the tow path or sit and watch the world go by an ice cream or coffee.

What a wonderful place to take the kids on a sunny day, they can play in the fountains in safety while the family have a nice long drink.

Fantastic refurb of the old Coal Stop at the rear of St Pancreas and Kings Cross Stations.
