The area
Address
Neighborhood: Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.

Terrible customer service
Jun 2020
Agreed the purchase of an item, couldn't get through on the phone, which was continually engaged, and they sold it to someone else. The worst customer service imaginable for a gallery. Avoid.

World Class Glass to watch and to buy
Mar 2020
We passed by after our visit to White Cube Gallery on the same street. Free to enter, we watched 3 men working as a tight-knit team, creating a large glass object. The finished work on display and for sale is world-beating. It is superb and beautiful.

Fantastic! Peter Layton's London Glassblowing...
Sep 2019
We visited here at the instigation of partner's Granddaughter and I was totally impressed. What a fabulous place, I'm guessing we spent more than an hour here, just watching the guys do their stuff. It was so fascinating! You can see the heat, feel the heat, and watch the creation of beautiful products.
You would never know it was here, but should be a major tourist attraction. Beautiful works of art for sale, not cheap, but where you can get that special thing. No tacky souvinees, but something that will evoke lots of good memories.

Super talented people

Loved watching them in action. I find glass works fascinating and could have stayed there a lot longer watching them at work.
There are a lot of pieces for sale, some of them are stunning.
A bit out of my price range, but then I have spent thousands on paintings so this is just another type of art.

Incredible glass objects
May 2019 • Friends
Decided to pop in as we had been to the Fashion Museum which is very close.
The work on display is for sale by a variety of artists.
One member of staff was very helpful and answered several questions.
A must visit if you are in the area and have even just 10 minutes. Expect you will be so taken, it will be longer.
Workshop at the back of the room. Understand they break at lunchtime.

Breathtakingly beautiful glass objects
Jun 2018 • Friends
We dropped into the shop on our way back to the station last year and were blown away by how beautiful the glass objects were - modern and colourful. We then wandered through to the back and sat and watched the glass blowing for about an hour - it was mesmerising! Would definitely recommend this on a trip to the area and plan to go back again next month.

Visiting London Glassblowing is a must when in London
Jan 2019 • Couples
Well, when you're in Murano, you need to see the Murano Glass Museum.
In London you absolutely need to see London Glassblowing : extraordinary pieces of glass art are on display and in the rear area the artists are creating unique pieces.
When we visited, there was a workshop going on and it was just amazing that we were able to be a witness to this creative process.
