    All good
Excellent food, drink and service. Very pleasant staff. Good music. Knew nothing about the venue or its fascinating history, would go again and recommend. Just didn't have a t-shirt in the correct size, so will have to go again! Thanks to all

    Great service
Visited this pub on a Wednesday afternoon for a quick bite to eat. Good range of food and drinks and the service was really great. Ali stands out as she was very on the ball with nothing being a problem for her. She was friendly polite and extremely professional An asset to your team. Thank you.

    Smashing, welcoming, good value base
Visited this place 3 times in 24 hours during a short trip to london for the football. Staying in the hotel next door it was covenant for us, but it was more than that. Made to feel very welcome on each occasion. The staff very friendly and refreshing and a great atmosphere throughout - particularly on the Sunday evening. Good choice of drinks at fair pricing for its location, and a smashing breakfast for the morning after.. Thanks for your hospitality guys, hopefully see you again in May for the FACUP final!

I (23) visited with a younger friend for a concert. No where in the pubs terms and conditions nor on the tickets did it say I couldn’t accompany an underage into a concert, when neither had any intention of drinking.
The managers, and workers were rude and short with us losing their temper when the issue of underage was their own fault. The manager, clearly stressed or unhappy, was horrible and short and rather out of order talking to us like that, when we were paying customers. I was so shocked at her manner of speech towards me that my younger friend handled the confrontation and situation.
After huffing and puffing and talking to us like we were dirt we were allowed into the concert.
I understand why there was a problem, even though it was their fault there was this mis-understanding, but the approach, professionalism and manner of which they handled the situation was out of order and disgraceful. I wouldn’t recommend going to a concert here. Ruined our once in a lifetime opportunity.
We made sure not to buy any of their (non alcoholic) drinks that night, and I certainly will never return.
Disappointed.

Visited for Sunday brunch. After a warm enough welcome, things went rapidly downhill. We waited ages for menus, for our order to be taken and then two drinks to be served. I ordered an egg muffin that I sent back when it was served as I expected more than a tiny unbuttered muffin with two overcooked eggs. one sad piece of lettuce and small tomato segment for £6.95.

The only thing the staff were quick to do was come to our table to take payment unprompted. When I dared to complain about the overall experience, this staff member (who I think was in charge) was extremely rude to me. When I suggested she really shouldn't talk to her customers like this she chose to carry on and accused me of being 'very English' when all I had done was complain about poor service and food quality which I think is my right! I told her that as she walked away and she proceeded to continue the argument, now back behind her counter, shouting at me across the entire bar area.

One of her colleagues was sufficiently embarrassed to come over to us and apologise, saying that they were very busy and a bit stressed. They were reasonably busy, but IMHO that is no excuse for the appalling service we received (there were four members of staff serving and empty tables when we arrived and when we left so I don't think they were so busy they shouldn't have been able to cope).

Was pretty disappointed with this venue. Firstly, the food was terrible and overpriced for what it was, and it was served to us luke warm. I had fish and chips but there were only about five chips on the plate! The beers on tap were ok. Secondly, we went to buy some tickets on the door to see some of the bands that were playing only to be told it was cash only. Who carry’s cash in this day and age? So many other venues in London have card readers for buying tickets on the door but we had to go and find an ATM. Thirdly, my friend wanted to buy a half pint and pay by card but was told there was a minimum payment amount and so had to buy a full pint. What’s all that about? Finally, there was something very offish about the guy on the door (I think he was the promoter, shockingly) and he didn’t seem to be very well equipped to be working with people. Don’t just stand there and stare at people trying to buy tickets off you like they shouldn’t be there. I found him quite rude and creepy. The bands and music were fantastic however. The stage space itself was pretty good and a decent size but it was let down by everything else about this place. I don’t think I’ll be coming here again.

Went there for a gig on 9th July, which was great; brilliant sound, air con in the venue, nice bar staff serving quickly.

It got a bit chaotic after the gig ended and the Ele tric Dreams club night started. The woman on the door to the event room wanted everyone present to have a stamp on their hand, but didn't stamp anyone who left the room (to e.g. use the toilet) then wouldn't let them back in so loads of people were outside the room saying e.g. "but I was only in there 5 mins ago and my wife's in there" whilst the woman on the door had a meltdown complaining there were too many people and shouting "I don't know who you all are!". Bit weird!

Having had a lovely experience here on the Saturday we decided to book for breakfast the following morning. When we arrived there was another couple of tables, the ambience was relaxed and we were looking forward to a lovely breakfast. We ordered a full English, an eggs florentine, 2 coffees, an orange juice and a coke. The cold drinks arrived swiftly, followed by the breakfasts. By this point it was getting busier. I cut into my poached and the white were so runny they were inedible, i then spent 20 minutes trying to get the attention to one of the members of staff to ask for our coffees and a replacement. In the end we gave up as we had a train to catch. We approached the bar to complain, they immediately sent our coffees, then left it another 10 minutes to deal with my inedible breakfast. By this point I’m getting royally pissed off. The waitress comes to take it away and asks if I’d like another, no time I reply, take it off the bill. Oh I was just going to offer you discount she says. She brings us the amended bill and says sorry you arrived right in the middle of a busy period, well no we didn’t, also to her remark about us must being experienced hospitality people, the answer is 25 years actually, and if you ever want any training in customer service, which you quite clearly need, feel free to drop me a email, although I would suggest you’re in the wrong job entirely.

Here on a Friday night for drinks at the bar then live music in the back room. The venue is small and became very hot in the back room so much so that the air con became a noisy accompaniment to the musicians. If you are seated in the front bar eating you are nudged from all directions.

Thank you for the compliment on the bar staff we will be sure to pass it on We are one of the smaller venues but we really believe that because of our smallness it attracts those just starting out into the business of entertainment and gives them the confidence to perform in a space they can make their own - those artists already established come back to give wonderful performances for their loyal fans, friends and families alike in a truly unique setting We are open from 8am every morning for Breakfast and close after Midnight most days, during the day many things change including the menus, drinks offers and entertainment, please see on our Facebook or Website the variety of things on offer here

Cramped around bar / food area but it’s a pub after all. Went to see a band so wasn’t bothered about tight space as more room in gig area. Main gripe was my son who’s 24 !!! couldn’t get in without ID . So it’s 18 and over which is correct but does he need a full beard and a suit to enter ? He’s never been asked for id before and has been to many events/pubs/ functions in the last 6 years. Security guy needs consistency or glasses as no one else were stopped 🤷‍♂️. Got in eventually via getting photo sent over but we were already in bar area 20 mins earlier and wasn’t checked then !! By the way I’m 58 ( in case I need ID aswell )

I stayed at in a nearby hotel, which didn’t have a restaurant, so I went here for breakfast this morning. I’d been here for breakfast on three previous occasions and each time I was very impressed. It’s a little gem! The staff were really friendly and welcoming (Claire is lovely) and the food was out of this world. I had the Full English and it’s got to be the best I’ve had in a while. I’ll definitely go back again next year!

While it wasn’t a live music or event night during my visit it was still a nice spot for a relaxing drink. The staff are friendly and there was a good atmosphere. The tables do make it feel like you’re in a restaurant rather than a pub but everywhere is comfortable and clean. Prices are a little on the high side but I’m sure that’s justified during one of the event nights. I’d happily return and it’s an interesting option in the area.

Sometimes the music is great but the enormous security man is an awful bully. One might imagine that this destination is worth a visit -sometimes it even is- but I would avoid it on second thoughts. A real pity but it is now an integral part of London’s “inhospitality” industry.
