Went to see Kasabian here on 2nd November and have to praise the efficient queueing system heading into the venue. My dad and I are 02 Priority holders and were swiftly entered into the venue with minimal fuss.

The atmosphere inside was very good, but I would have to go along with a number of the comments here and say that the security staff inside were very rude and left me feeling uneasy.

They also had a rather bizarre policy of not letting anyone walk through two empty rows at the front of the upper circle, despite no-one being seated there at the time! Also, paying £6.55 for a tin of Carlsberg was a major drawback.

A vist in Feb22 to see The Stranglers and support band RuTs DC. Staff were friendly and couteous and bands were great to see. Bag and body checks were made on the door before entry.

Although we wore face masks, they were not required. Concert are was split - standing area downstairs and sitting upstairs. Nice venue to vist and no issues. Doors opened at 7.00pm, support band RuTs from 7.30pm to 8.45pm and The Stranglers were from 9.00pm to around 10.55pm. We have been before and we like the venue in general. It's a great place to see bands play and great acoustics.

The 3 stars are for the excellent and efficient venue staff and security who accommodated my accessibility requirements.

Unfortunately, I cannot give more than 3 stars because of the poor acoustics.

We sat in the front row (A), slightly off-centre but as close as possible to the stage. It was difficult to understand many song lyrics, despite being familiar with these songs.

Likewise, even when Trent Reznor was speaking to the crowd, it was difficult to understand him.

This defeats the purpose of coming out to see your favourite band.

I cannot justify spending over £70 per ticket to experience such a subpar auditory experience.

And so, I will likely not be returning here, even if Nine Inch Nails play again.

Thanks again to the venue staff for helping with my accessibility requests.

Went to see tiesto first of all no info on site about the age limit brixton academy said 8+ under 16s need an adult. Apparently the gig was 18+ so we wasted a £43 ticket because my 15 year old brother couldnt come. Then no info about the gig all that was adverstied was a 00:00 curfew. Doors opened at 7pm tiesto didnt start untill 22:00 and theres also no smoking at the venue. So we got to see the guy we paid for for less than an hour because we needed to catch the train. Absolutly rubbish venue overpacked over proced drinks the venue is on a slope and the staff are rude

Rude, intimidating and aggressive door staff. We went to see a show at 6 pm in the evening and when asked to get rid of our bottles of water were grabbed by the arm and pushed towards a bin..
It is not acceptable to grab and push anyone.. it was 6pm and a comedy show NOT a drunken late night club excursion.

Went out for the first time in 4 years last night to see Beach House at the O2 arena in Brixton. From the moment the first note was struck I was amazed by the fact that there was no midrange whatsoever in the sound. Quite what the engineers are thinking, (or the band for that matter) is beyond me but make no mistake about it, the sound system there is not working properly. Are the owners, engineers, sound technicians or musicians not bothered about this key issue?? To compensate they turn the volume up much more so you have an overwhelming onslaught of bass and tizzy treble. Given that listening to live music does have quite a bit to do with sound I would strongly recommend not visiting this venue until they fix the problem. Or are you the sort of person that goes to the cinema to watch a film with no colour or contrast in the picture?

Went to see Deadmau5 10/06/2022 - The Sound Engineer must be deaf from all the bass we are all hearing. I was very disappointed by how loud the sub bass is and couldn't actually hear the mid to high end of the music. Ruined my experiance.

Went to see The Cinematic Orchestra last night (Sat 22nd Feb 2020) in a party of 4 and ended up utterly disappointed.

Mainly with the sound quality that reached us, all muffled and feedbacked, would say completely inaudible, from low to high pitches, from the support acts through to the main one.

We were on the left side of the balcony, perhaps the sound was better at the ground floor on in some other spots, yet would never imagine experiencing this in apparently one of the main live music venues of London and the UK, where there's basically events every night with top notch artists.

I could see some people not impressed from the main acts hanging on waiting for the main act, only to start leaving half way trough the set, and a great number of others taking the opportunity at the cliche encore to jump from their seats and leave.

For a musical project of the nature of CO, where subtleties and dynamics are key, you could not glimpse a fraction of what you do with the studio versions, which was a shame for fans going there and for the band.

Perhaps they could invest in improving acoustics in the room, as basically everything in there seems made of concrete, from ceiling to stands and floor, just saying.

Organisation wasn't the best either, with event start time advertised at 7pm, and once you get in you see a handwritten paper in the wall saying the main act will start at 9:45pm (that's almost 3 hours from the time written in the ticket)... not the best start when you had to book babysitter for the baby and realise you won't be home before 12am.

Bar wasn't too busy but drinks a bit over expensive (nearly £20 for 3 beers), and was shocked to see that there was no draught drinks, despite them pooring all bottles and cans on plastic glasses, which actually means they are producing thousands of unnecessary waste items every day. 2020, should this be allowed? Not to mention they would save money with tap drinks and could perhaps charge a bit less...

Overall, an awful experience, and would probably not be coming back anytime soon and will look forward to see any fav artists in some other venue instead.

We had a chance to attend Cinematic Orchestra that had a performance on 2020 Feb. It was our first time in O2 Brixton arena. We had no expectations apart to have a good time while listening to music. Location is convenient, building and performance hall are a bit "worn" and its quite cold to sit during performance as apparently there is no heating. Let's call it the "atmosphere", as these are minor issues.

We got seats in the balcony and were shocked when the first warming band starting to play. To name the sound bad is understatement. Due to the ceiling 5 meters above and no sound isolation the "acoustics" was as if you were sitting in a metal box. It lead to a very poor quality of overall experience, where you could barely identify different instruments, boss were resonating to extend that you couldn't hear other instruments. The whole experience was as if you were listening to a concert somewhere in backstage where all the sounds are echoing through the walls at the same time being close to a speaker and getting semi deaf. We have left the concert in the middle of performance and still struggling to understand how such a low quality experience is even allowed in London concert hall.

Probably you cannot blame the sound engineer and this might be the issue with the balcony only, but if you come here for music event - I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Loved the venue. Staff however, were aggressive unfriendly rude and didn't know the answer to even a basic question like " what time does it finish?'. This level of ignorance makes me anxious about my own safety and that of the people around me. What if there was a fire ? I don't feel confident they knew what was going on.
Better training required . Permanent staff maybe?
