Hen party
Mar 2016 • Friends
What a fantastic night I had on my hen do! We arrived by party bus to a warm welcome showed to our table and was served straight away! The staff kept making sure we was all ok and enjoying our night! The comedy started and I was laughing my head off!

After reading the bad reviews I was worried about the night however our food was hot and not greasy as I had previously read on here! The toilets had no flies like I had previously read on here also

The only reason I cannot give this 5 stars is because one of the comedians was not to my taste in jokes making jokes of the plane that crashed into the Alps killing all on board is not my idea of a joke at all! As soon as he got off the stage I never had another bad word to say about the place

50th birthday treat. not a treat at all!
Feb 2016 • Friends
arrived to a huge row (not us) with another group whose booking had been lost.
Given tables which were fine. food brought was cold , and nowhere near enough for the fifty people who were in our party. We had to ask numerous times before the correct food (which we had purchased previously) was brought. Surly, unsmiling staff. drinks were an absolute rip off.
Acts were reasonably good. Compere good, three of four acts were good - one terrible.
the venue was supposed to turn into a club for dancing after the show finished but, instead, we were forced out into an upstairs bar which was small and ghastly over-crowded. Bar Prices even worse.
Overall a real shame as the location is great but an absolute rip off money wise, incompetent surly, unsmiling, unhelpful staff.
definitely would NEVER use this venue again.

Waste of time

Okay, the comedians were okay. But the noise in the place was crazy. Meaning you couldnt even hear the comedy. The staff only intervened during the final act which kind of spoilt the evening. We wont be returning

Hi, Thank you for your feedback - can you please let me know which date you attended so we can look into this further? Usually if groups are loud and disruptive during the performance, then show manger deals with them promptly and will throw them out if necessary. If you could send your concerns to support@jongleurs.com, I would be most grateful. Sorry your experience was disrupted by the noise. Thanks

Disappointed
Jan 2016 • Friends
Night out with friends and wasn't impressed with the comedy or venue.

To be honest I'm bored with geek jokes and jokes about racism....just face it's boring. We were all on tables and unless you are a size zero you wouldn't have had a problem squeezing in. Also the bar doesn't serve drinks during the performance......why not??? It's a a bar, that's what it there for.

Round up uncomfortable and boring!!!!!

Hi there, Please can you let me know what date you attended the show so we can see which comedians were on that night? I'll pass on the note to the venue regarding the space, as we're always looking to improve things. The bar is always closed during the comedy because otherwise it will be really distracting during the performance for not only the comedians, but others around you too. I think you'll find that this is the case in all performance based shows, not just at Jongleurs. The bar is open at the start of the show and during the interval for you to stock up. Thank you for your feedback - we hope to see you again.

Rip-off
Dec 2015
My friends and I decided on Jongleurs to have our Annual Christmas Dinner. When we were shown to our seats, I was in shock, three tables at the back of the venue, with no room to even pull the chairs out. There was also no direct route to the ladies toilets which were over by the stage; I did not enjoy fighting my way round people’s tables to get there and back.

The food itself was not good, I went for the vegetarian option, it arrived in a tin plate and three small squares of brie on a tart to me is not acceptable, and the tart didn’t taste nice at all. The gravy was cold, as was most of the meal, and due to the lack of lightening I had to use my phone to see what I was eating. I was lucky to receive my dessert, half of my party didn’t – and I was told on a few occasions, well you must have had them we ticked them off the list. You then moved at a snail’s pace to tell the remaining people they couldn’t have what they ordered (months in advance) as you had run out and the kitchen was closed.

The show itself was Ok, the three comedians were entertaining. I left shortly after the comedy, but I know some of my party where not happy with the music choices, a fight was witnessed, and you chuckled some of our presents away and a coat.

Overall for the £60 paid each for the meal (and there was 30 of us), show and two drinks. It was a complete rip-off.

I would not recommend this venue or night out to anyone.

Christmas Night Out
Dec 2015 • Friends
A group of us decided to come here for a Christmas night out. Never Again! We were crammed into tables which you couldn't move from once you in, due to so many tables being so close together. A luke warm Christmas dinner arrived on a tin plate, as for dessert well it never arrived. We had to ask for it three times and almost two hours later we received an apology and told the kitchen was now closed! They did manage to find some cheesecake for us eventually, alas it wasn't what everyone had pre ordered for £60. We were further asked to pre order drinks for the interval, which we duly did, interval arrived and no drinks did... These were finally dispatched at the end of the interval. The comedy however, was very good delivered by three professional comedians.. Just a shame about the venue and service. I'd avoid this place.

Oh dear... Never again.

Where to begin...?

A group of 27 of us selected Jongleurs to have our Christmas Party. On arriving at the venue we were shown to our seats. We were squeezes onto three seperate tables towards the back of the venue. Literally we had no room to move and I am sure this must be against safety regulations to pack so many people into one small area.

Before we had even sorted out where we were going to sit, the first waiter came over with our main courses. We explained that we needed a few minutes to sort ourselves out and to get a drink from the bar. He walked away and within 30 seconds another waiter was with us trying to serve the food.

The food itself was awful. Soggy brussel sprouts. Rock hard stuffing balls. Gravy that was like water. And the whole venue had "ran out of pepper". Also, the venue was so dark that most of us didn't even know what we were eating.

After the main meal, and before the show started, we were due to be served our desserts which we had ordered months ago. Only half of them came out and the rest of us had to wait until the interval for ours. And then they had ran out of everything except the cheesecake. Considering we had ordered our choices months ago, this was quite bizarre.

The show itself was Ok. Three comedians who were entertaining. But by this point a lot of us had lost our sense of humour. After the show had finished we were ushered to the bar so that they could rearrange the venue into a night club. We all stood next to the bar and the next thing we knew a full on fist fight ensued by some of the other clientele. 5 security staff were needed to break the fight up. Amongst all the commotion, the staff cleared away our tables and threw away some of our Secret Santa gifts! In fairness, they did manage to relocate them from the bins.

The evening was described as Comedy Christmas party. However the disco was nothing but R&B, Garage and Jungle music. Not what we had expected at all.

We all paid £60 each for the meal, show and two drinks. It was a complete rip-off. We had all left the venue by 1030pm on a Saturday night to find somewhere safer and more festive.

Please avoid.

Halloween
Oct 2015 • Couples
Came on Halloween with the boyfriend. Really enjoyable night out. Got cheap tickets via a voucher code sent by email. Acts were funny. Drinks were reasonable and good choice of cocktails. Only criticism was the bathroom was full of flies.
Will definitely return.

Do not do a Group Booking!
Nov 2015 • Friends
This was my Hen do and we paid, all 19 of us, for a VIP ticket. It was a disaster with cold food, no decorated table, no welcome drink and rude staff. Requesting a full refund for this so called 'VIP Ticket'.

No dancing afterwards and was advised that on a Saturday its always 'R&B' and Garage which clearly wasn't suitable for our Hen party.

Never again!
