I went to Jongleurs on Friday 3rd July 2015 after buying two coupons on Groupon, and i went with a friend who like me enjoys comedy nights. The venue is dark and sombre, and we ate elsewhere because i remembered the menu to be limited and mostly made of junk food. Two of the four comedians we saw were really good, as well as the hostess, but one of the Australian comedians, Wayne Deakin, ruined my evening. There was a very belated Christmas party there, and one of the ladies had probably drunk a bit too much, and asked him not to start with jokes about the north of England hating the south of England. Reacting totally out of proportion, the comedian started covering her with heavy insults (i really did not understand where that came from) and ended up asking for security to take the lady out.The lady had in no way being disrespectful, and I also disliked the fact that the management just went along with Mr Deakin without questioning if he was on the right side. The whole Christmas party ended up leaving, and the night was over for me. Apart from not being funny at all, he just filled what was supposed to be an evening of laughters with very bad vibes. Boo to him. I hope the Club won't hire him again.

Right if you've never been to Camden it will, pen your eyes up. Being a freak is normal round here.
I came here years ago and it hasn't changed. Very dark and dingy. But then who want to look around. I went this Saturday just gone, three comedians and a compere. All the acts were good, one played on a what I could only describe as someone with learning difficulties. However I found this funny. The best one was the black guy, Curtis from Brixton. He was really funny. All the acts were good but I imagine you get some duffers. That last time I came there was aright duffer on. So bad people started to talk. But that was years ago.
The people who work are your typical Camden people, alternative but good service. Didn't have to wait long at the bar. Didn't have any food but looked it was mostly chicken and chips.
And like a previous review, you've got the standard refugee in the loos with his aftershaves. Even he got a mention from one of the acts, a funny one.
One negative, the DJ plays the music far too loud while waiting for the first act. You almost have to shout at the person next to you on your table. Turn it down a bit.
It is was it says on the tin. A comedy club. You will see funny people. I think each act was on about 15 minutes each. It finished just before ten and turns in to a club afterwards, a dingy club, but hey you're in Camden. What do you expect,

My partner and I don't live in London, but were visiting my partner's sister. It was an invitation of her friend to go and watch some comedy. It was £25 for pre-ordered food and 4 short comedy acts. I enjoyed the comedy and the staff I dealt with were lovely, but I can't say anything else about my evening was enjoyable. The toilets were in dire need of a good scrub and a bit of a makeover. And the lady asking for a tip because she had given me a tissue to wipe my hands made me feel uncomfortable. If you are looking to make a full night of it, I suggest you eat elsewhere first because there wasn't one person on my table who enjoyed what they had. Mine was a very nice sounding salad which ended up being a bag of wet salad leaves and a slice of halloumi cut in to pieces shoved in a cardboard box. A bit disappointed. As soon as the comedy had finished, you didn't have time to gather yourself before you were being pushed to the back of the room so they could turn the place into a nightclub. Thanks for making a paying customer feel relaxed and welcome.

Where to begin...?

A group of 27 of us selected Jongleurs to have our Christmas Party. On arriving at the venue we were shown to our seats. We were squeezes onto three seperate tables towards the back of the venue. Literally we had no room to move and I am sure this must be against safety regulations to pack so many people into one small area.

Before we had even sorted out where we were going to sit, the first waiter came over with our main courses. We explained that we needed a few minutes to sort ourselves out and to get a drink from the bar. He walked away and within 30 seconds another waiter was with us trying to serve the food.

The food itself was awful. Soggy brussel sprouts. Rock hard stuffing balls. Gravy that was like water. And the whole venue had "ran out of pepper". Also, the venue was so dark that most of us didn't even know what we were eating.

After the main meal, and before the show started, we were due to be served our desserts which we had ordered months ago. Only half of them came out and the rest of us had to wait until the interval for ours. And then they had ran out of everything except the cheesecake. Considering we had ordered our choices months ago, this was quite bizarre.

The show itself was Ok. Three comedians who were entertaining. But by this point a lot of us had lost our sense of humour. After the show had finished we were ushered to the bar so that they could rearrange the venue into a night club. We all stood next to the bar and the next thing we knew a full on fist fight ensued by some of the other clientele. 5 security staff were needed to break the fight up. Amongst all the commotion, the staff cleared away our tables and threw away some of our Secret Santa gifts! In fairness, they did manage to relocate them from the bins.

The evening was described as Comedy Christmas party. However the disco was nothing but R&B, Garage and Jungle music. Not what we had expected at all.

We all paid £60 each for the meal, show and two drinks. It was a complete rip-off. We had all left the venue by 1030pm on a Saturday night to find somewhere safer and more festive.

Please avoid.

This was the first activity on a hen weekend that i had arranged for my sister. It was the most fun i have had in such a long time. The door staff were excellent as i had already spoke to one of them a few weeks before to deal with ID's and that it was my sisters hen party. As soon as we arrived he informed us that we had been upgraded to a better table and saw to it that we had our food very quickly.

The comedians started at about 8pm and there was only a 15 minute break in 3 hours of side splitting comedy. There were 5 separate comedians and each had their own style. They enjoy being heckled and the compere is very good.

After the show the tables are cleared from the part nearest the stage and the dancing and disco begins. The music is a mixture of up to date and 80's and even further back. It appealed to all the ages in our group which went from 18 to 56. We all absolutely loved the evening. It is a busy place but not overpacked. The perfect place for a hen weekend and suits many people. It was the best start to a really great weekend.

arrived to a huge row (not us) with another group whose booking had been lost.
Given tables which were fine. food brought was cold , and nowhere near enough for the fifty people who were in our party. We had to ask numerous times before the correct food (which we had purchased previously) was brought. Surly, unsmiling staff. drinks were an absolute rip off.
Acts were reasonably good. Compere good, three of four acts were good - one terrible.
the venue was supposed to turn into a club for dancing after the show finished but, instead, we were forced out into an upstairs bar which was small and ghastly over-crowded. Bar Prices even worse.
Overall a real shame as the location is great but an absolute rip off money wise, incompetent surly, unsmiling, unhelpful staff.
definitely would NEVER use this venue again.

A group of us decided to come here for a Christmas night out. Never Again! We were crammed into tables which you couldn't move from once you in, due to so many tables being so close together. A luke warm Christmas dinner arrived on a tin plate, as for dessert well it never arrived. We had to ask for it three times and almost two hours later we received an apology and told the kitchen was now closed! They did manage to find some cheesecake for us eventually, alas it wasn't what everyone had pre ordered for £60. We were further asked to pre order drinks for the interval, which we duly did, interval arrived and no drinks did... These were finally dispatched at the end of the interval. The comedy however, was very good delivered by three professional comedians.. Just a shame about the venue and service. I'd avoid this place.

My company booked our annual Xmas party at this venue. There were 14 of us and it wasn't cheap - around £65 per head. They sat us at a table for 10, two of my staff hand to eat with their plates on their lap and we were totally squashed together. The food was disgusting - cold, cheap and really nasty. A complete rip off.
The compare was a disgrace and got booed offstage and the comedians were very poor as well. We paid £900 for the food/comedy and then spent another £450 behind the bar.
I wrote and complained and all they offered me was 2 free tickets to go back again. I said I wasn't happy with this offer as I didn't want to go back there ever again. I wrote 3 more times and they have ignored all my correspondence.
I would not recommend this place to anyone and feel totally ripped off.
They could have made some amends by dealing with my complaint to my satisfaction but they seem totally disinterested in sorting this issue out to my satisfaction.

I've been to this venue around 20-25 times and enjoyed it every time! However, this New Years Eve everything about it was very average (that actually may be a bit generous). As Joungleurs has a few venues dotted around with a good reputation, it became clear that they don't care about this venue at all. Examples of this are: Starting the show 2 hours before normal at 6:30(which on New Years Eve is a really really awkward time), having begrudging customers that they double booked at other venues diverted to the camden venue, three out of the four acts were really really poor!! I understand comedy is subjective, but the line up was a particularly poor especially for New Years where the price is increased, this was anchored by a few people leaving before the end. The one comedy act that was good was an improv group called 'The Noise Next Door' so check them out.
Then when the comedy finished we were told we would have to pay £15 each if we were to stay in the bar we were already in!!! Which is ridiculous!!!
Really bad experience and will take me a lot to book again!!
What a shame!

What a fantastic night I had on my hen do! We arrived by party bus to a warm welcome showed to our table and was served straight away! The staff kept making sure we was all ok and enjoying our night! The comedy started and I was laughing my head off!

After reading the bad reviews I was worried about the night however our food was hot and not greasy as I had previously read on here! The toilets had no flies like I had previously read on here also

The only reason I cannot give this 5 stars is because one of the comedians was not to my taste in jokes making jokes of the plane that crashed into the Alps killing all on board is not my idea of a joke at all! As soon as he got off the stage I never had another bad word to say about the place
