No signs directing you to the riding school once you enter galleons reach shopping park but we got there at the end with some guess work. Lack of staff and direction at front gate to help guide you so we had to figure it out ourselves. We attended the ‘£1 a lap’ experience- I think there ought to be a sign up upon arrival so ppl know where to go. Approached some young teenagers who were running the session and they instructed us where to go. From that point, it was very smooth sailing- boots and helmets all lined up neatly for my children to pick up. Sizing on riding boots were clearly marked on the them and they were clean and well maintained. The kids loved the experience! I am Noemi in the process of booking lessons for them to keep them busy during Easter half term. If you book 5 lessons, you get the 5th lesson half price which is great.

I took my little sister for a one day riding experience. When I got there, there were no one at the office to help me, I had to find my way around. The stuff looked tired and miserable, like they don't want to be there. The toilet looked filthy, and the stables.

Very quick and easy to get to. We were seen to straight away and told exactly where to go and get ready, putting on hats and boots etc. staff were lovely and child friendly. The kids were made to feel very comfortable. We were allowed to take photographs as and when we wanted, the staff were more than happy to stop the pony and have our kids photos taken on numerous occasions. The kids were beaming with smiles, would definitely recommend after a lovely first time experience.

Bought my son for a lesson in January, and this yard is in need of an inspection by the relevant authorities, to whom I've also passed on my concerns. There never appears to be anyone in charge, and is run very chaotically to say the least. According to staff members there, management don't bother to check on them as they're always up having coffee in their flat. There was a lot of hate and anger and nobody seemed happy in their job. They were all talking about clearing off. We were bitten by several horses, who where known biters, but had no warning on stable doors. We aren't just talking a nip, we are talking extremely aggressive behaviour. This was evident in many of the horses, who spend all day in their stables as the yard has no paddock facilities. Care of horses seemed ok, but many appear to have behaviour issues, and a young girl broke her arm as a result of this behaviour. These horses don't appear to be matched to rider ability, only height. Really not safe or professional. Lesson quality was poor. Instructors are not qualified to the level expected of a good riding establishment. They are young working pupils who have very little teaching knowledge. If you want cheap then this is for you. If you want quality instruction in a safe environment on safe horses then I'd avoid at all costs. I'm a qualified riding instructor and am disgusted at how these schools get away with operating under the BHS Approved guise, whilst providing incredibly inadequate horses and instruction to a level they should be ashamed off. My concerns about this school have been forwarded on to the BHS for further investigation. Someone else will be seriously hurt.
