Can't get near it till it opens as a condo building

If your visiting it, you're undoubtedly a Pink Floyd fan. Sadly you can't get within 100 yards of the building as they're redoing the whole area as a condo area.

This is such an iconic building, it has appeared on album covers. Sadly what thy are doing to the area to make it a shopping area surrounded by trendy apartments is tragic but that's supposedly progress for you. Not many people know this but the power station was never bombed in the second world war due to the fact that... More

Landmark!? More like an eyesore! I knew Battersea was industrial but not quite to this level! Lot's of developments going on around the powerstation which didn't help for a start but three out of four of the chimneys had been taken down, it looked so different - so much so that it was unrecognisable and we didn't even know if... just a 100yds up the road from the famous battersea dogs home is the now remains of the equally famous power station. i first saw the power station in the 80s,it had closed down then with the inside gutted, however the outside was still magnificent,it must have been one heck of a site with smoke belching out of the chimneys.. parts... We didn't get the chance to do a tour (we were there too late, came unprepared plus not sure if there are any tours, because there's a lot going on / lots of construction!), but the building still looks amazing!!
