- Mike MChudleigh, United Kingdom129 contributionsGood visit.Had tickets for court one this time and the view from the back row was still very good. The whole venue was very clean and getting into the venue was very well organised. Big quese for drinks etc as expected but did not take too long. Only thing is the wifi signal does not work inside the court at the back so i would recommend they install signal boosters.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 2, 2024
- NICHOLAS TDubai, United Arab Emirates10,326 contributionsAmazing day out!We had a phenomenal day out on the last Saturday of the Wimbledon championship. The whole venue is pristine - full of greenery and well kept flowers - and jam packed with food and beverage outlets and retail shops. The ticket price is well worth it and there were a huge number of matches for us to choose from, including access to Court One with our ticket from the ballot.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 13, 2024
- SteveS1970Coventry, United Kingdom8,903 contributionsVery impressiveI had tickets for the men’s semi finals on Centre Court, which was amazing but the whole complex is impressive. As you walk in the outer courts are ahead of you and everything is done to perfection. Plenty of toilets and food and drink outlets. It is expensive, but it’s the home of one of the most prestigious tennis competitions in the world and there is money about. Worth a visit even when the competition isn’t on. Very impressive.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 14, 2024

We had a great day at Wimbledon. It was the second day and we were at Center Court. We had a full day to watch some incredible tennis. It seemed most of the other courts where tickets weren't required got very full, and it was hard to get around with so many people trying to get to where they were going.
It seemed that the staff really tried to be helpful if we had a question or needed help.
My only quibble is that a lot of people sneak into better seats. One group of 4 or 5 were constantly moving around and they never stopped talking or making a commotion...taking pictures etc. Those people should definitely be removed but when told to move the guard had to give-up, they weren't budging.
Food and drinks are a bit pricier than outside the grounds, but they are reasonable considering the venue!

We had the most amazing time at Wimbledon yesterday! We found the booking of tickets pretty straightforward and we were lucky to get tickets on court No.2 right at the front! We were blessed with dry/warm weather and we watched Norrie win yesterday, the atmosphere was fantastic. We parked opposite in car park 10, which cost us £30 (electric car so £5 less) and it was a short walk to the entrance. We were in quickly and had to show covid pass and photo ID but it was as all so slick - so many staff and so well trained. We didn’t wear masks when walking around outdoors, only to go into any under cover areas like toilets/food areas etc. A lot of people did wear masks or asking around but equal number didn’t so I think it’s perhaps personal choice at this stage. We didn’t have to wear them when seated watching the matches, very few people did. The whole process is so well organised in every aspect - the cleanliness, the availability of different food and drink options, the ticketing, the schedule. It just seemed to work like clockwork and we had one of the best days ever. Murray Mount last night had an amazing atmosphere and it was fun sitting there with pimms and strawberries. Strawberries and cream only £2.50 a box, not bad really! Thank you Wimbledon, we loved it and will definitely return!

Poured of rain for our visit so didn’t get to see the outside courts. The atmosphere was still fantastic inside our court one. If it rains, and you are not on a covered court, I believe your money is lost, be aware. Its very hard to get taxis afterwards and the walk to the main street is quite far. Staff, who are volunteers, are very helpful and friendly. Bars and restaurants are very crowded, but again staff is friendly and the meals and drinks are reasonably priced.

The only reason I'm rating this as a 3 is because of the service we had from our tour company. We've been as a group several times with Newmarket travel and normally it's an amazing seamless wonderful day. From the get go we knew this time would be different. For starters we'd waited since 2020 for it to be rescheduled, Rafa had pulled out of his semi final, all the matches we were due to see had been moved to centre court... So we had an ominous feeling getting onto our Newmarket coach on the morning of 8th July.
Wimbledon itself was the same amazing place as always, delicious strawberries, amazing tennis, am now a bit in love with Alfie Hewett, the museum was fab, so was everything the aeltc do to put on this great two weeks. The only thing that let it down was Newmarket travel. They were just awful, our guide wasn't at our hotel when we arrived, we missed two out of our 4 matches on court 1 because we were made to leave at 6:45pm, and the after care from customer services just tried to blame the aeltc for changing the order of play saying it was sort of out of their hands as it was an ever changing event. I really think the aeltc should rethink their relationship with Newmarket as it's clearly changed quite a bit since the pandemic, which is a real shame.

Brought tickets through myWimbledon for No1 court. 1 day before due to attend got email saying tickets had been cancelled because I had applied multiple times. I had not as only applied for the 2 tickets allowed. I had at this stage already booked car parking which was non refundable. Email account was no reply. Trying to call the ticket number the call consistently cuts off after waiting for 4 minutes listening the the announcement. Tried this about 10 times, so wasted about 45 minutes plus. Emailed as well, did not get response. Eventually got an email saying it was an error and tickets were OK.

My friends and I had a really bad experience with the Wimbledon “queue” today. It’s been many years since we went to Wimbledon and had read the newspaper reports about searching all bags and random body searches, so we knew the wait would take a while. We asked the steward when we arrived at the queue at 08:00 whether we had any chance of getting into the grounds on the day and were told “yes”.
Our queue ticket number was 11772+. We sat like all those around us on the grass, not moving until 11:30ish when it was our queue’s turn to move forward. Not sure what happened (perhaps not enough stewards in the vicinity) but every queue to our left and numbers up to 14000+ started moving at the same time, it was absolute chaos and although we moved to another part of the field the orderly queue in sequential numbers was by now in mayhem with hundreds of guests mixed up. We stayed where we had ended up but by 13:00 it was obviously going to be difficult to ensure everyone would get into the grounds in the correct order which was totally unfair on everyone and, like us, many people gave up. There was no delimiting between the lines of people and far too few stewards in our opinion. Utterly disappointed and a waste of time, early start and train ticket money.

My sister got Mens Final tickets in the ballot after years of trying. We used the shuttle bus from Wimbledon Station and arrived at the gates by 9am. Very small queue which grew very quickly. Entry on the dot of 10 was well organised and speedy. We headed straight to the fabulous museum, full of well displayed, interesting items. Next stop Herman Hill where we enjoyed a Pimms in the sunshine and bought lunch. Efficient service and good quality, well priced food and drinks. Centre Court looked splendid and the Men’s Final was fabulous. We returned to Centre Court to catch some of the Ladies Doubles final. Felt so sorry for the players that there were so few spectators. Could this match not be played before the Men’s Final to attract a bigger audience and improved atmosphere on court for the players? All the staff we met were polite and helpful, especially the service lady on duty on Block 110. Caught the shuttle bus back to Wimbledon Station just after 9pm. Wonderful day from start to finish!

We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour around Wimbledon this year. The tours are conducted up until about two weeks before the tournament commences. Our guide was superb and told us many of the stories, myths and quirks of the area. It was very informative and interesting with plenty of photo opportunities. The pre-tournament preparations were in full swing. It was great to views the grounds and courts. The tour concludes with a self-guided visit of the Museum - a must see.

Magnificent tour inside the Club that hosts the Wimbledon Tournament.
Highly recommended even for those who don't follow tennis.
The tour lasts exactly 90 minutes and is in English.
Our fantastic guide Alfie (exceptional Alfie, one of the best guides we have ever had), accompanied us inside Court No.1 and the Central Court, as well as in the lounge areas, press room and in all the areas frequented by the athletes during the tournament.
The tour is full of anecdotes, bits of history, technical information on the grass of the fields, etc.
Really recommended for those who stop in London for a few days: even if the Club is a little far from the centre, it is perfectly connected thanks to the underground and the bus network. I recommend you get off the tube at Southfields and do it on foot: a pleasant 10-minute walk with a splendid view.

Hi, I've been allocated tickets in the ballot for Court No 1 on Friday 8th July 2022. However, there is no play scheduled for Court No 1 on that day - all matches are scheduled for Centre Court.
I don't quite understand, it seems pointless accepting the tickets - any advice? TIA
Written February 7, 2022
I’m wondering if I can bring in my handbag as well as a bottle cooler bag
Written June 28, 2021
Hi I’ve got ballot tickets. Do you get given seats or is it sit anywhere? Also if given seats when can you see where you seated? It’s court no 1 .
Written March 5, 2020
sorry I carnt answer this question

I have tickets to Centre Court. At the US Open, having tickets to Arthur Ashe means you have access to every court on the grounds. Do I have access to all the courts with a ticket to Centre Court? Or do I have to buy a separate ticket to get on to Court 1?
Written June 29, 2019
You will have access to just centre court, the grounds and the non-show courts so no access to no. 1 court or the other show courts.

Are the Afternoon Picnic Coolbags worth buying for 2019,,,i am having difficulty booking one on the web site
Written June 25, 2019
They are worth having but if you haven't already booked one it might be too late!! Worth a try though.

Can you go in and out of the grounds at Wimbledon. Or once in that's it!
Written June 19, 2019
You can obtain a wrist band to exit and re-enter. However the queue can be long and you are not allowed to bring in more food or drink on re-entry
“PASS-OUTS
Wristbands for pass-outs and re-entry to the Grounds are available at Gates 5 or 13 only”
Generally I would advise against leaving, once inside there is no real need to leave the grounds.

We will be coming from the states. Is there any way to get tickets in advance for 2019 between now and July? We won't have the equipment to camp out. Is there a re-sale market one can access before the start of the tournament?
Written March 14, 2019
Hi, I have tickets for No 1 Court and I’m planning to take a picnic. Can you tell me if there are any pleasant spaces to sit and eat this?
Thank you
Written July 9, 2018
There ate numerous picnic tables around the whole site but if you want to find some shade (due to this crazy weather we’re having!) I’d highly recommend climbing the steps all the way to the back of Henman Hill where they is usually plenty of space and shade for you to enjoy a picnic. The hill itself is an option but will be absolutely packed for most of the day and in full sunlight throughout.
