Went to watch Wimbledon and what an atmosphere and day out. Stood in a line for hours for tickets but well worth seeing the top players. Eating strawberries and drinking Pimms was the cherry on the cake and a must experience.
Club museum is open for your enjoyment and food is served. You get a chance to gaze on center court where all the greats have played. A tube ride from London about one hour. If you are a tennis fan and have the time...Go.

The behind-the-scenes tour is definitely worthwhile and full of fascinating snippets of information! You will learn a lot - even about the grass - which is counted blade by blade by a person!

There ate numerous picnic tables around the whole site but if you want to find some shade (due to this crazy weather we’re having!) I’d highly recommend climbing the steps all the way to the back of Henman Hill where they is usually plenty of space and shade for you to enjoy a picnic. The hill itself is an option but will be absolutely packed for most of the day and in full sunlight throughout.

I have queued many times and it is a lot of fun as you get to meet people from all over the world. I normally join the queue around 6 am and I've always got in and sometimes picked up a court 2 or 3 ticket. During the first week of the tournament these courts can have some great matches. If you get into the ground and Federer is playing on Centre Court you can also watch the match on the big screen, sitting outside on the hill. The atmosphere is electric. Wishing you every success for your trip.....
