We visited this pub having heard about it for a long time...and it lived up to all expectations. This is a truly ancient pub - fabulous atmosphere, wonderful architecture and breathtaking views of the river. Each room has its own particular character and it would be...More

Caught up with friends for a Sunday roast. Sat out on the deck to enjoy the sunshine and company. The roast was great and massive. Well price and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and company. Well worth a visit.

What a shame that a great part of our history has fallen into the hands of folk who fail to maintain it. Look beyond the history and you will find a pub in a state of disrepair. The mens’ toilets on the ground floor in...More
