My husband and I recently stayed in London just before it went into Tier 3 (and now Tier 4). My husband went to this cinema frequently when he lived in London and one of our most memorable dates was there. We were walking around the area and were pleased that not only was it still there, but it had re-opened the day before and was showing a film we particularly wanted to see on the big screen, "Mank." Lovely comfortable leather armchair seats and foot stools with blankets available. Lovely cocktails from the bar - Old Fashioned for 2 (comes pre-mixed in a bottle with ice and orange peel in the glass, excellent bourbon). Whole building looked clean and welcoming. Bathroom was spotless. Because of social distancing wouldn't have been that full and only about 7 in the audience, but it was such a treat to see something on a proper screen! Yes, pricey for an ordinary cinema outing - £17.50 per ticket, but not for this standard of decor, comfort and drinks.

I was left completely disappointed after my visit. I went to see 'Tenet'. It was supposed to start at 8:45pm but it actually started at 9:20pm. Am I the only one bothered by 35 minutes of commercials? That caused a problem with my parking, which is difficult to arrange in that area as it is. I didn't know when the movie would end, so I was stressing myself out the whole time as I didn't want to get a parking ticket, of course. The decor looks amazing but what good is that when you see a huge spider coming down from the ceiling just three feet in front of you. Awful! It landed on the sofa in front of me and then dissappeared into the darkness. Luckily, no one was sitting there due to social distancing. I had to keep my feet moving the whole time afterwards in order to keep it from comming near me. Another problem that they have - mice!!! I saw two of them running between the rows as I was going to the loo. Oh my goodness!

We have watched Once upon a time in Hollywood here. We booked a very comfy two seater sofa with a footstool. The cinema looks old fashioned inside and this gives it a funky vibe. There are cashmere blankets available in case you are cold and there is a bar where you can get snacks and drinks.

It was lovely to end the day at the cinema after a long day of sightseeing. This particular cinema is the best and the most unique cinema I've ever been to. We sat in comfortable arm chairs and enjoyed the movie with candy from the cinema bar. It is also possible to buy wine, champagne etc. It's close to the famous Blue Door in Notting Hill. We bought tickets online the day before the show, and got the last tickets. We got lucky:)
