A brilliant combination Bfi, Benugo and Business. I call it my office. Meeting lots of my creative clients It's always conducive to a good conversation. The staff are always busy but once you've been captured, you're their's. The coffee, the music and the Bfi cinema buffs make a great atmosphere... just one small point the blue chairs are beautifully designed... More

Highly recommend visiting this cinema if you want to see a big movie here...especially if the film has scenes filmed with the IMAX cameras. Staff friendly and seats comfy...truly a unique experience.

Booked to see the new Fantastic Beasts movie for our trip to London. Great spot, very nice wee bar to relax in while we waited for the show. Got our drinks and popcorn. Very friendly staff, and then up into the prebooked seats. We had brill seats at the back, but with them being the romantic two seater, we were... More

Five of us went to a recent showing of Abel Gance's epic film Napoleon at the BFI recently . The venue is a very compfortable one with lots of convenient seating in bars and restaurants. The flim ( which took 6.5 hours in all to watch ) was a magnificent one and we much enjoyed our bottle of claret and... More

Searching for Dvd's etc on Amazon is all very well & good, but there is nothing like that exciting experience of actually thumbing through the Dvd's in a shop. And boy oh boy is this a shop,?we really were spoiled for choice of so many blasts from the past of Briitish & world cinema. Having said that your choice is certainly... More

We we're a bit cold wandering along the Southbank and so decided to stop by for a drink. Great selection and friendly staff. We had some mulled wine . Yum. Food looked great and I would go back for a meal. If you are passing do stop by.

I visited the Bar&Kitchen quite a few times. There are two, one in front and one inside the BFI. The one in front serves burgers and such but the one in the back is far more posh when it comes to food and interior design. Prices are still quite low but food is incredible. You can visit even just for... More

Being a great movie fan, I found the BFI one of the biggest attractions in London - and perhaps the best cinema in the world. No matter when you're in London, you'll always get the chance to see some real old gem that's hard to find even on DVD, let alone in other movie theatres; there are sessions on actors,... More

BFI was great and accommodating as usual. Next to some great restaurants and cafes and not far from the train station!

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
