Friendly old school pub

Popped in for the first time today, just for a quick drink but stayed for a couple as the staff were polite and the atmosphere was very good. Nice feel to the pub, good selection... read more

Had the Scotsman Ale here, nice cozy spot to drink and hang with friends. Unfortunately, we went pretty late and almost to closing time, so we couldn't spend much time here

I love it. Good place to have a pint. Old fashion pub. Price is OK and they have several types of beer. Opens until late. I just keep coming back.

Popped in for their roast, 8.95. Ok so that is cheap but expensive for what you get. Had roast chicken, the meat had odd texture and taste. i would say had been cooked and kept warm in steam?!?! Roast spuds, bought frozen and yorkshire pud small and again bought in. I think all food from a v cheap supermarket including... More

A sunday night and they do a good sundayy dinner. Service was brisk and the food wabs fine. The bar had a selection of cask ales from various breweries outside London. The peple were friendly and it had comfortable . I will make a point to pop in there when I am in London.

Nothing special. Went for a drink one night. Very bright. Lots of English stuff-flags etc. Brash, loud. I wouldn't make any special effort to get to this spot

After needing a bite to eat on my way to the train station I chose this pub for lunch based on the overall ratings. The choice of beers was good - not many have wheat beer on tap which is always a plus in my books. The interior was fairly standard for a pub and I could imagine the seats... More

A perfect choice to relax, taste London beers, good choice of wines and enjoy the warm atmosphere. The only disappointment is that they no longer served food after 8h30 p.m. Nice terrace for smokers.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
