Three of us booked onto a London Duck Tour yesterday, as we had seen them driving around earlier in the day and thought that it would be something fun to do. Booking our places was very easy in the Duck Tour office and even though we were slightly late setting off, great fun was had. The tour guide, Nick, and... More

The tour was great a brilliant guide( looks like Jack Black) , very informative a great way to get bearings of central London. The tour is not 75 mins as this cannot be achieved in central London , despite being in a continuous location the reception staff blame horse guards parade ( daily event) London traffic ( what a shock... We booked the tour at the office in the morning as the website is faulty and won't allow you to do it online. We were told to be at the departure stop 15 minutes before our time of 12.30, we arrived but were told they were running behind and to come back in 35 minutes, second trip back, still no... More

my niece was on a visit from South Africa so we booked this for a bit of fun and it was definitely one of the highlights of the weekend . The guide, Nick, was great fun and still informative, we would recommend it.

Did this tour on the recomendation of a friend and wasn't disappointed. Vehicles are old and open and a visit to their web site might be worth looking at for older folk but kids will love it. The tour was informative and just about the right amount of time on land and water, and if your sat on the outside... More

Our tour was delayed, but these things happen. Our driver was Sam and our guide was Mike. The traffic was really heavy but Mike still managed to up a chat on everything around, waving to all the tourists taking pictures of us. Due to traffic we had to wait for the river bit, but again Mike did his stuff. Well... More

Did the duck tours on Sunday and I believe it was Tony who was our guide. No complaints about him, full of information and quite funny. The tour itself leaves from near the London Eye on the Southbank and takes you across the bridge past Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, past Downing Street, nearly past Buckingham Palace and... Ok this is the Duck Tour so expectations should be balanced, but all in all, I found it interesting. The tour guide and driver were great fun. The interacted and taught us a lot of history about the areas in London covered by the tour. This is definitely fun for all. I recommend doing it. It was Fun fun fun!

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
