Always wanted to do this so took the plunge..(hmmm should I use that word???) It was a KKKccc-ooo-ld day but wrapped up warm off we went. The tour is fabulous, not having to walk around amongst the many, many tourists whilst seeing the historic buildings and areas of interest was a delight but the true wonder was Ben, our tour... My husband and I have done a couple of Duck Tours in the United States (Austin and Seattle) where we receive little yellow duck noise makers. So I was disappointed when we did not receive a duck noise maker on the London tour, since they are so much fun. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable on the city landmarks, but... More

Took a Duck Tour on Sunday with your crew. We really enjoyed it although it was cold being an open vehicle and November. I'd consider taking another trip again in summer. The guide seemed to be very knowledgable and gave us an interesting talk about what we were passing enroute. Going on the river was also a novel experience.

very knowledgeable guide, good driver on land and the water one, enjoyable trip. Only complaint I have we were the biggest party on the vehicle but they put us on last so we were there to celebrate a friends 50th birthday but we were not sitting near each other. If you are a party of 2 it does not really... More

Have always wanted to do this tour do on a recent visit with my mum we decided to give it a go. Our guide Ben was only 3 days into the job, but was very knowledgable and good fun. The tour lasted 2 hours but this was due to the traffic. You pass by all the big tourist sights and... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
