Really interesting guided group walk around the Whitechapel area. The history of these terrible crimes was really brought to life by our very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide,Angie. Very graphic details-not for the faint hearted!!
We did this because one of our group wanted to. I am glad I did. I learned a lot about this mystery and we walked streets that are still have the same buildings. Very entertaining. I fun way to spend an evening before dinner or...More
A must experience!
My family and I were very excited to take this walking tour. Although it was freezing and drizzling, the guide kept our attention with every turn of the street and with every word that he spoke. His knowledge was astounding, and the...More
We did this tour on Sunday night and our guide was Paul. He was very knowledgable and incredibly engaging, bringing a bygone age to life with examples of 19th century London life that would make your hair curl! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who...More
Our tour guide was Angie! She was wonderful!!!! Very passionate about the things she was talking about and painted a very colorful picture for our tour. Was very sad when the tour ended, could have heard her talk for hours :)

Recommended by colleagues, we did this walking tour by night.
The guide seemed more interested in theatrics, regailing the horrors of everyday life in Victorian London. Anybody having ever picked up a book would know the hardships in that era.

Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a
cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
not scary or jumpy at all. it's very interesting historically, and it gives a great illustration of how the time and events were back then. they do talk about the murders somewhat graphically but not in a gory fashion. we... More
not scary or jumpy at all. it's very interesting historically, and it gives a great illustration of how the time and events were back then. they do talk about the murders somewhat graphically but not in a gory fashion. we crossed the wall that separated the west end of london from the east end, which is not really advertised anywhere and you can see the original pub of that era. the guides are professional and first rate. it's a serious and somber presentation, not comical or Hollywood-ish.
