Visiting Greenwich we decided to go by taking a cruise from Westminster. Boat was comfortable with toilets and food service at prices reasonable for Central London. We boarded the 12:00 on Saturday 27th August and as we pulled away from Westminster a member of staff, Daniel, said he is not a tour guide but would try and tell you something... More

Used the free trip as part of our big bus tour. Went from Westminster up to tower bridge with a very informative and fun commentary. The boat was spacious so the kids could safely stretch their legs and move around. Some lovely sights to see along the way in a relaxing and peaceful environment.

Enjoyed a very nice lunch while cruising from Tower pier up river, then back again, informative commentary, totally enjoyable couple of hours at a competitive price. I paid £32 each for my wife and I.

If there's one thing I'd recommend when you visit London it's this! We took the last cruise from Westminster to tower bridge at 7pm. As it was summer it was still light we saw all of the main sights along the river the host Dean who guided us on our journey was fab a true cockney who was pointing out... More

It's worth while arriving early in the day as the queues are quite lengthy and also in order to get places on the top deck. The commentary was amusing and interesting and it was an enjoyable experience but I don't feel that we got value for money as the lengthy queues deterred us from using the Hop-on / Off to... More

Highly recommended. Bought two for one tickets from National Rail. The crew member who did the commentary was very, very good. Cruised from Westminster bridge to the Tower of London and back which took about one hour. We could have taken the journey to Greenwich and back, but that was three hours. too long for us, I'm afraid. Sat on... More

Lovely boat ride but the cost of food/drink on board is ridiculous. I at least expect someone who is robbing me to wear a mask. The crew then have the cheek to ask for a donation because they have to talk while showing us the sights. Sat downstairs as we had a heatwave in London at the time yet it... More

We had a fantastic cruise in the sunshine today, but I discovered I'd left some valuables on the boat! We raced back to the wharf and Nick went above and beyond to track my valuables down. He was very generous with his time and was was very approachable and sympathetic. Thank you Nick.

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
