Neighborhood: Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

Masseuse already went home....AGAIN
Feb 2016 • Solo
I booked a massage through Wahanda. Unfortunately the masseuse had already gone home. I had not read the trip advisor reviews before but it seems like a recurring problem unfortunately for them. The place itself is in a small gym for what's it's worth for your therapeutic objectives.

Knightsbridge - new location for Amber Therapy suite
Jun 2015 • Solo
Turned up for a massage on the therapist had gone home. I was told she had left 10 minutes before I arrived. I arrived on time. Had to travel there and home for nothing which as a total of 2 hrs wasted. Tried to get a refund and couldn't speak to a manager. Was eventually told I would get a refund. 3 weeks later and I still haven't been refunded and the manger Renata still hasn't called me despite her saying she would. I have wasted so much of my time. Very frustrated with this terrible service. Wont be using Amber Beauty again.!

Spa day?
Jan 2015 • Friends
We had a half price wowcher voucher which was for 2 people (birthday gift bought on line), promising a spa day with massage.

There is no way the experience could be at all referred to as a spa day, specifically as there was no pool, jacuzzi, loungers or robes.

What they was, was a 50 minute massage, which was fair, a sauna and a steam room.

The steam room was very poor indeed it did smell badly of damp and the inside walls were extremely stained and in parts dirty, also the walls inside were cracking and coming away, which meant you didn't want to stay inside, which was disappointing.

The sauna was acceptable. The changing rooms were acceptable too.

Bare in mind the facilities are also used by visitors staying at the hotel (is situated in the basement level of the Victoria Plaza Hotel)

There was a general issue with attention to detail, dirty patches on floors etc, which could easily have been resolved in 60 seconds.

The showers didn't drain out the water successfully either, so the water was past ankle level by the time you'd finished showering - and only the one toilet in the female changing rooms.

The only chill out area was a small semi circled area situated outside the sauna and steam room, it didn't have loungers or robes, instead low rise chairs and some towels, and it was immediately outside the male changing rooms and also doubled up as the waiting area for other customers waiting to be seem.

The staff were friendly and the masseuse I had was good at what she did, but could have been firmer.

Our voucher was a half price deal costing £75 and was for 2, so £37.50 each which included a massage sauna and steam, which ultimately is reasonably good value for central London. I wouldn't have paid the full price of £150 for 2 people (£75 per each) as it wouldn't have been worth the money in my opinion.
We 'may' go back again on the same deal, but only if the steam room was in better, cleaner condition.

No ide what they were doing!
Dec 2014 • Friends
A hour before our appointment my sister got a phone call asking if she would mind not having a massage and instead like a facial but as we had already paid upfront for a pregnancy massage and confirmed that a week prior we demanded what we paid for. Upon arriving there was no robes nor customer service skills.
Upon my sister having her massage (whom is a beauty therapist) the woman had no clue what she was doing, she requested that she lay on her front (she's 6months pregnant) which she couldn't and so the therapist massaged on side of her body only.
Afterwards again there were no robes so we decided to leave. When we were leaving there was not a single member of staff around which made the experiance even more worse.

Could be better!
Oct 2013 • Solo
Eventhough the massage/facial and steamer was lovely and really relaxed me there was a gym right bang in the middle of the spa, so when going from the massge room to the steamer you had to cross throght the gym just wearing the towel they give you. Plus for some reason when walking in and out of the Park Plaza where the spa is the place smelt of fish, really off putting. They really do need to update the Spa and fast!!

Don't bother
Jul 2014 • Solo
Bad bad bad! I'm pretty sure the massage therapist had no idea what a deep tissue massage is. Either way she clearly didn't want to be there and my '55 minute' massage ended up being squished into a measly 40 minutes, tops!

Not a spa but a small old fitness suite and 2 massage rooms
If you like treatments e.g massages/facials then this is an ok place. If you're looking for a spa with facilities then absolutely do not waste your money, even if you're paying a discount or half price deal. It's absolutely tiny to be called a spa & misleading to paying unknown customers, there are only a steam room & sauna partitioned off from the noisy gym. That's it folks. No solarium, whirlpool or jacuzzi that you may expect. No water fountain in so-called 'spa' area to keep you hydrated throughout visit. Whole area needs revamp, lick of paint, chipped walls and peeling paintwork even in steam room which also had a musty old damp smell. Towels are provided but no gown/no slippers/no carrier bags for wet clothes/no ambient lighting nor relaxing music (only ambience/music in the 2 treatment rooms but you can hear gym users doing their workouts). This is not a luxurious serene spa facilities venue and competitors have no worries with this one. It's a gym which takes majority of space and sectioned off miniscule area for max 4 people for sauna/steam room. They played bbc radio 1 very loud throughout so not relaxing atmosphere at all but ok for gym users, can hear all people in gym area and machines/weights being used. If you removed partition then gym users and 'spa' would be in same room! Literally!
My 2 stars are awarded for polite massage lady who gave me good facial and back massage but I've had much better and thorough at many other competitors.

hardly a pamper day
Apr 2014 • Friends
I had my treatment at the beginning of april I was expecting a pamper day instead all I got was very basic massage.
We made our way to the gym and were greeted by a gentleman who literally had his feet up on the desk we arrived 15 minutes early and he asked us to take a seat and complete a questionnaire we sat on straw chairs and there wasnt enough room to swing a cat. Men were coming in and out of the sauna and steam room.
Two ladies then came to us and said are you ready? No introduction or hello or even a smile on their face. We then followed them through the gym passed more hot sweaty bodies into the treatment room. Although we had been ready for ages the massage only lasted 50 minutes the therapist communication was poor.

I took a friend with me and after the massage we just left the only facilities we could see were the sauna and steam room what a massive disappointment we had both taken the day of work so we could have a spa day.
this is just a very basic massage at a gym no way any type of spa. If this is what you want dont bother coming all the way to Victoria most gyms these days have massage facilities

after we finished we were sat on the straw chairs again discussing how dissapointed we were and the therapist walked in and said are you ready and assumed I was the next client she obviously took no notice of me what so ever.

do not recommend at all.

Relaxing
After booking a treatment session at Amber Therapy Spa (park plaza hotel) using a voucher from Amazon Local (£29) for a relaxing & stress releaving day, it worked 4*. I had a 30 min facial, 30 min back massage and sauna time (15 min) . l would highly recommend this place for spa treatments & therapist Mia.
