London hop on hop off in 30 degree weather.

The hop on hop off bus tour is really good. The pros are finding out info from the audio guides and physically where things are. The cons are that London is way too busy for tours... read more

Unfortunately we had two disappointing experiences using this company. The first trip we took on the bus ended before we completed a full lap which meant we missed seeing Buckingham Palace. This also meant we had to catch a taxi home. The next day we caught the bus again and it randomly ended in the middle of the circuit. When... More

Hop on hop off is really easy to use. Great way to see all the sights. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and helpful. I have done the tour 3 times and will continue to use it whenever family visits me in the UK.

This is the best way to get around London, in fact these open top buses are the best way to see any city. I recommend getting the one day pass on the first day, you also get a boat cruise. You can do the whole tour easily in a day, hear all of the stories and get your bearings. Then... More

This is your standard, hop on hop off tour that's available in most big cities. I really like them because you can ride for 24 hours and see lots and lots of sights. Of course, they take you around and explain many historical or noteworthy locations, many of which you would not have noticed or thought about. And when you... More

Bought tickets for our Australian nieces to see London easily and quickly as they were time restricted. They absolutely loved it and saw everything from the comfort of the bus with live commentary. With three routes to choose from they managed to take photos of all the landmarks of London, hopping on and off where they wanted to. Buses were... More

The hop on hop off bus tour is really good. The pros are finding out info from the audio guides and physically where things are. The cons are that London is way too busy for tours like this, it took 3 and a bit hours to do one trip. The downside of this trip is it was on Londons hottest... More

The original tour staff is what makes the company who they are. Not only are they very helpful to customers but as they are dotted around frequently they also help out the members of the public. The live commentary is excellent and without this the tour would be a bit dull as the headset volume was poor and the voice... More

We chose to go on a bus tour (yellow route) on 18/07/2016 and it was sweltering but the tour guide (Pat I think) was wonderful- he was funny and enthusiastic and kept everybody on the bus amused, despite him probably being on the verge of melting. Great job!

I used this tour bus at 6pm in the evening then had the luxury of using it for almost the whole of the next day as you get the ticket for 24 hours. We bought our ticket electronically online and validated it on the bus. It was easy to use and we got the free boat tour on the Thames... More

My daughter and I had a great trip through London, and when we were tired we went round again! We researched our ticket carefully and got a good deal, that actually gave us more than 24 hours to see all the things we wanted to see. The stops could be a bit better marked as twice we ended up waiting... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
