Address
Neighborhood: Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
How to get there
  • Regent's Park • 5 min walk
  • Baker St • 6 min walk

Great homeware and helpful team
Oct 2021 • Couples
Love this shop for homeware and other bits and bobs! Aidan was particularly helpful when we went to the shop last. He went above and beyond to help us in swapping an item in a set that we wanted to buy and we really appreciated it. Thanks, Aidan!

Am I invisible?
Nov 2019 • Solo
I fancied a coffee so walked in and went to the cafe counter. Nobody came to take my order so I went and sat at a table. Nobody came to take my order so I asked a member of staff how I should order. I was told to order at the counter.
I walked to the counter and was duly ignored by the same member of staff and one other member of staff.
I walked out and on my way out I asked the security lady if I was invisible. I was assured I was not.
Waste of time.

Home good store with coffee shop.
Oct 2019
This place has some very unique items for your house, if you are rich and don't care about prices! Still fun to look around and see their stuff and gave me some great gift ideas to buy elsewhere for much cheaper. They also have a coffee shop with small bites but I didn't try anything.

Perfect for those who like interesting and quirky design
Jun 2019 • Solo
This shop is famous for showcasing contemporary design in furnishings and household items, but also sells design classics. Everywhere you look there are interesting objects, down to a wooden pencil sharpener with five blades and five holes for different sized pencils! The prices are definitely not for the faint hearted but you’re paying for design creativity, not just the functionality. The shop has just celebrated twenty five years and will no doubt thrive for as long as enough people will pay a substantial premium for great design.

Incredibly relaxxed and welcoming cafe
May 2019 • Family
Lovely settees and welcoming staff make this a geat place to get a coffee and chat. It was so pleasant we stayed for lunch.. No one rushed us or fussed when the baby cried - just all very lovely - and the food was nice too. Only draw back was that there is no baby change - althoug the loo was spotless.

Subjective.

I always become a little stressed when I enter a Conran shop and it's because of their pricing structure!
It's all very nice and it comes down to personal taste, however much of what they offer can be bought elsewhere for a fraction of the price! It's hardly surprising high streets are dieing and beware Marylebone, you aren't bulletproof.

Stylish Venue to shop or Lunch
Jul 2018
Margaret and I visited the Conran Shop earlier today, its all that Habitat should be taking Terence Conran's design ethos to the core. Great shopping, quality merchandise, well priced.

The Cafe is bright comfortable and extremely obliging, whilst we only experienced drinks the produce all looked first rate

We will be returning

Conran cafe
Feb 2018
Always a hit! This time on a cold February day we ordered chicken and root vegetable soup for two and a flat white coffee.
Excellent service and the most delicious soup. The presentation was superb.
On previous visits we have experienced the same level of service and enjoyed the various sandwiches on offer. The cost is also extremely reasonable.

My mom humiliated by security guard!
Sep 2017
We walked into the shop today while it was raining outside because my mom is a highly valuable customer, she buys from this place all the time. It was 4:45 PM on Sunday 3rd Sept.
As we were looking around within the first 30 seconds the security guard comes up to my mom (who was cold) and very rudely says 'remove the hoody'. All of us were shocked with his tone of voice and the Way he spoke to her that we decided to leave (lost 4 valuable customers), I felt the need to express this to someone working in the shop to share it with her manager.
I spoke to a lovely lady at the left side cashier and she was so sympathetic and asked me to point out the guard as I was leaving I pointed him out and he came up to me with aggression and says rudely again 'Don't point at me!!! You were wrong and you are in Britain!' Now this is when it started to turn into racial profiling, because he didn't know where we were from?! I've lived in London for 4 years and have never been asked to remove my hat, scarf or hoody rudely by anyone before, always kindly and with respect!
He was so rude and I'm sure the nice lady who was comforting my mom will share this with the manager today, my mom promised me she will never come back to the store and all 4 of us too until this extremely rude security guard learns how to work in retail!
Worst experience and would never come back here because of him! Approach is very important and speaking to customers in this manner will make you lose them.
