Neighborhood: Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Went here with a few friends for drinks on a cold Thursday night, had to wait 15 mins till they could seat us. We were initially seated on bar stools so not ideal for all 4 of us chatting but after requesting to be moved, we eventually were to a warm, comfy booth and were able to hang our coats up. It was so atmospheric and would be an ideal place for a date night, although I recommend booking in advance. The cocktail menu was so unusual and one even had cute little sweets in, however I found prices a tad expensive for what the drinks were. Overall a lovely night in a nice, cosy, low-lit place.

Little hidden gem - the staff are so friendly - nothing is too much trouble. Love the decor, the sofas are really comfy and I highly recommend the Hunny Pot cocktail - next time I will be trying the Harry Potter themed one! I didn't get the name of our server but he was just wonderful and so friendly. The bar is a bit hidden away as you have to go through The Social Eating House and upstairs but it's such a great find I'll be back soon.

Family group of 6 went for different cocktails but the Turkish Delight was by far the best. All very different but excellently described by the waiter. Indeed all waiters were attentive and water provided before being requested. Lovely bar to while away an hour in comfort.

We've visited the Social Eating House before and so were expecting good things from the Blind Pig upstairs. We booked a table for 'standard seating' from 16:30 to 18:30 and arrived on time. We waited a few minutes before a member of staff took our details and escorted us to our seats. Disappointingly we were initially placed on the highest bar stool ever encountered with tables either side not cleaned. Our server indicated that he can put us on the lower seating (which is what we booked) once he'd cleared the table. So once that was done we moved. We waited another 10 minutes before another member of staff came over, to take our drinks order...or so we thought... instead she told us that the table we had moved to was booked till 18:00 and we would need to leave before then. We did mentioned that we were told we could sit where we were, to which she indicated that it was the previous servers mistake....Not the biggest of deals we said that was fine and she promptly left the table but failed to check if we had ordered drinks/ take our order.

A further 20 minutes passed before we managed to get her attention again (despite several members of staff having a chat at the bar, walking round not serving anyone and several other tables trying to get their attention).

Even though we had arrived on time for our booking at 16:30 we didn't have our order taken for over 30 minutes, which given we were being told we would need to leave earlier than we had booked for, was on the whole a poor level of service. The best service received was when we asked for the bill and the member of staff couldn't get over quick enough with the card machine. We asked for the service charge to be removed and stated we'd been disappointed with the level of service received. The one drink we did manage to order was fine but not the best and the overall experience meant we left just 50 minutes after arriving.

We'd like to put it down to a bad day in the office, but unfortunately it wasn't close to the standard of service expected and we won't be rushing back.

We came in for one drink before dinner at a different restaurant. We arrived at 8:10 and had to leave by 8:50. It was 20 minutes before anyone took our order. The table behind us who arrived after us were served before us. We gave the server a wave as he walked past us to go to take that table’s order, and he put his hand up to stop my partner from talking and walked past us without a word. Once we had finally placed our orders, we were waiting for another 15 minutes until 8:45 before we decided to leave, as we wouldn’t have had enough time to enjoy any cocktails that would arrive at that point.

I would also add that the server had a really disingenuous cheerful persona that was so grating.

It’s a shame because the atmosphere seemed nice and the cocktails menu was interesting, so we really would have liked to have had our drinks.

Arrived at 5pm ignored for 30 minutes before grabbing the waiters attention. We ordered two cocktails and food.. the food never arrived, ordered a second cocktail to which one was wrong. Cocktails were good but overall service was poor, we did explain why we would not pay the service charge waiter commented “my bad”

We had a few drinks and enjoyed the good music and friendly service.
One minor thing: behind the sofa in the corner is a mist airco which is very cold for the one sitting against it. You could actually see the guy's breath! :-D

The speakeasy was great! When you are in front of the restaurant, you can’t clearly see the entrance of the bar (but that’s the goal of a speakeasy!), you have to go in the restaurant and go upstairs. The vibe is really nice with a creative cocktail menu, we loved the drawings dedicated to each cocktail. The staff was great as they recommended us drinks depending of our preferences. After an hour spent there, 4 of my friends wanted to join us for drinks, I asked the staff if they could accommodate us with a bigger table so that we could all fit and the waiter was really helpful and gave us a bigger area! Cocktails were delicious and the prices were okay for London.
I would recommend the Frizzle cocktail as it comes in a funny glass!

Lost charm of what it once was. Used to have nice children’s book menu. At that time it felt quirky and fun. My most recent visit was just extremely loud (low ceilings and limited acoustical tiling) with a reduced drinks menu that lacked the old charm. Felt extremely expensive for drinks and nibbles and will not go again. Much better alternatives in soho.

Our friends booked a table for ore dinner drinks and I was pleasantly surprised at the location as we’d previously eaten at the Social Eating House and really enjoyed it. The four of us had a nice corner spot, gave only slight gripe being that the table was too small to take four drinks and four glasses of water.
The cocktail list looked extensive and with low light and my old eyes we asked the server for suggestions. Our server was Jack and as well as being very friendly and efficient he came up with great selections. We will definitely return.
