The area
Address
Neighborhood: Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.

every year in july this year it's on sunday the 19th of july there is a religious parade with loads of floats and bands.the floats have people dressed up as jesus the holy mary roman soldiers the bands play religious music.the procession starts from st peters italian church about 3 o clock.the church is opposite hatton garden,by the side of the church is a street called back hill,at the bottom the street is filled with stalls selling all different types of italian food and drink and t/shirts and other bits and pieces.there is music and dancing it goes on to about 10 o clock.but before then you can go to the italian social club by the side of the church everybodys welcome including children.on 3 occasions i've seen boy george mixing with the rest of us.child friendly never seen a hint of trouble or unruly behavior,a good day out

This church is a true religious gem. Amongst the hustle and bustle of central London suddenly appears the most striking facade. Once I'd stopped staring at its' external beauty I went inside and immediately burst in to tears. It is so so so beautiful. I took my time taking in every detail and left feeling spiritually richer. Please visit.

This church has been the main gathering and reunion venue for the "Little Italy" community of Clerkenwell, and is a central feature of the annual processione held in mid-July. Light and airy with a 33 meter bell tower you'll be struck by the light and calm compared to the noise and bustle of nearby Hatton Garden and Leather Lane opposite. Look out for a painting of the beheading of John the Baptist near the alter. Plenty of well written information leaflets in English and (of course) Italian. We popped over the road for some great street food in the Lane afterwards

A beautiful church on Clerkenwell Rd. It serves the Catholic Italian community, and is in fantastic condition. A wonderful place to enjoy a bit of peace, in a stunning building without dozens of tourists.

St. Peter's Italian Church is a basilica-style church on Clerkenwell Road, London city. It is particularly associated with the Italian community of Clerkenwell locality. But there are no restrictions for persons of other faith or nationality. They welcome all who wish to worship the Lord. All Italians consider St. Peter's their parish. Sunday service is attended in large numbers.

For all the Italians , mass in Italian. Stunning church, beautifully decorated. Almost impossible to park so public transport probably the safest bet
