Address
Neighborhood: Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.

Really disappointing

We went here for a drink to go somewhere iconic, we were the only 2 people in there on a Saturday night, no atmosphere felt awkward so left and didn't even stay for a drink

Great afternoon tea with a difference
Feb 2016 • Couples
Booked afternoon tea which was very different from the normal. All the ingredients had some type of alcohol. Great if you like a drink and very different. The service from the bunny girls was excellent, my wife was very pleasantly surprise and said she would go again

Definitely worth a visit

Beautiful cocktail bar with bunnies and historic drinks display
Feb 2016 • Friends
I was a bit nervous about going along with just another female but it was fine. There were couples and business groups there. It's a large bar but the soft lighting makes it feel intimate.

We admired the figures of the bunny girl waitresses who were friendly and extremely knowledgable about the fabulous cocktails (we sampled a couple from the Round the World collection). Ours were beautifully presented - one with an ice cream portion and all with fruit and unusual decorations. The dishes of nibbles contained exquisite nuts.

The drinks weren't particularly expensive either - considering the venue and location. Although the extensive drinks menu did offer some items that were eye-wateringly expensive.

The furniture is subtly modern, the music (a mellow jazz selection and some more soulful tunes) is just right and the tiny bunny cut-outs on the window screens blend into the background. There are pictures of the Rat Pack on the walls.

We didn't notice at first but the expanse of glass cases as you enter actually contain an amazing selection of historic drinks and cocktail paraphernalia. Brandies and Bacardi feature but there're bottles from around the world.

We were surprised to see Salvatore himself wandering around - he even stopped by to say 'Hello'.

Tea at the Playboy Club
Mar 2016 • Friends
This venue should not be publicised as a venue for Tea. Very disappointed with this venue it is not worth a visit for tea. My friend and I were the only ones there yesterday afternoon. The place was a ghost town and we would have had more fun at the cemetery. The staff were pleasant but this did not make up for the total lack of atmosphere as we sat alone amid numerous empty tables. The "tea" was cold tea infused with alcohol - tried it but wouldn't have it again. The platter per person consisted of 4 "savouries" being a cocktail blini with smoked salmon, a piece of bruschetta with chopped tomato, a mini roll with air dried ham and rocket and a finger sandwich of egg/mayo. There were four sweets being a small macaroon, a chocolate cake (neither eaten), a small piece of carrot cake and a strawberry mousse (eaten). We were still hungry as they do not replenish platters like Ritz, Savoy etc. so negotiated another round of savouries for another £30. All in all a wasted £100+. If you want a posh afternoon tea stick to the grand hotels they can't be beaten. Also service was very slow - our booking was for 5pm but didn't get food till 5.45pm. By the time we left at just after 7pm there was still no sign of life!

Something of the air of a transit lounge !
Dec 2015 • Friends
If the atmosphere of an airport transit lounge is what you enjoy, then this is the place for you.
The fabulous service and the chic surroundings don't make up for overpriced cocktails served in a large waiting room !!
This is as much fun as waiting for your flight home after a holiday. ...

The only highlight is the bunny costumes,if you're a fan of the 60's or 70's...

Not Your Daddy's Playboy Club
Dec 2015 • Friends
I thought Playboy Clubs had gone the way of Leaded Gas…who knew?? The drinks at the classy little Salvatore’s Bar in the Playboy Club London are inspired by the same mixologist behind the magic at Mixology 101 in Los Angeles, so we had to give the bar a try. Glad we did. The drinks are incredible…the space is beautifully dark and intimate, decorated with interesting prints and artwork…and the location is convenient to anyone staying in the Mayfair area. And if you happen to be there while Salvatore Calabrese is in house, you’ll find him to be friendly and personable. Highly recommend popping in here for a quiet, well-made, cocktail. Cheers!
