About
Vauxhall City Farm is a little piece of the countryside right in the heart of London with all the sights, smells, sounds and experiences of rural life. Our collection of friendly animals includes rare breed sheep, inquisitive goats, woolly alpacas and spotty pigs, not to mention our cuddly ferrets, rabbits and guinea pigs and more! Since 1976 we've been a charity that aims to provide the local community with education services, youth activities, riding therapy, personal development and support programmes and a peaceful escape from city life. Although we don't charge an entry fee we do rely on donations from our visitors to help fund the charity and its' work. The farm and our lovely Old Dairy Cafe are both open from 10:30 - 4:00, Tuesday to Sunday, with the Cafe only also being open from 11:00 - 14:00 most Mondays for lunch. We can't wait to welcome you to the farm come and visit us and our lovely friendly animals soon!

Nice relaxing walk round this pleasant, superbly run place.

Great for kids, families and general animal lovers.

Animals are lovingly looked after, and the staff are exceptional.

Probably the fifth time I’ve been here for a break, over several years, and each time has been great.

Small but well done and a lovely little activity to do. Went with my boyfriend and we had a great time feeding the goats and alpacas. It was small but a great opportunity to see and interact with the animals. Cute little cafe as well!

If you are coming here by underground get off at Vauxhall station less than 5 min walk.
Its is FREE you can take photos and also feed the animals. I spend around 20 min here.

Got an hour to spare? Or may be two? Then take a trip to Vauxhall City Farm in SE11 - just a stones throw away from Vauxhall Station. It may not be large but the animals are very friendly and so well looked after and you can see the real affection between them and the people who work there, There are beautiful horses (riding lessons available), alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs and a variety of hens, rabbits and smaller animals.

Entry is free but like every charity they rely on donations and sponsorships - and for 20p you can buy a small amount of food to hand feed the goats and sheep. Eventually it will be possible to feed the ducks. The kids loved it - and oh yes and as a matter of fact so did I.

There is easy access, toilet facilities, and plenty of hand washing points but there is no on site café or refreshments available and for health reasons eating is not allowed on the premises although there are cafes etc. nearby.

For complete information please check out their website - vauxhallcityfarm.org .

On a weekend break in London and we actually live in the country but our hotel was across the park from here so we decided to go say hello. So glad we did.

We are huge animal lovers and no greater sight than kids screaming with joy as a goat eats from their hands. The place is very well run and free to enter, donations appreciated.

There are several feral cats on site. If you’re very lucky you get to meet Howard the ginger cat. Very friendly and a bit like royalty, he will all you pet him so long as you acknowledge what an honour it is for you.

If you are in London and your kids are not used to farm animals get them down here it’s 5 mins from Vauxhall station.

Kudos to the team there for making so many kids smile.(and 2 adults on their 22nd wedding anniversary 😛🤗)

I didn’t even have the chance to say good bye to the pigs. The staffer simply said no, you couldn’t.

And so today I’m back in during the very opening times, and now kids were screaming at the pigs and alpacas and goats while their parents were busy rubbing alcoholic gels. And they bond with you over food.

(There was horse riding just across the street. You could see those horses returning home from time to time if you stay near the entrance for long enough.)

Vauxhall City Farm is a breath of fresh air, so lovely to visit and spend time with the animals. It is small so can be a bit cramped when busy but the staff and volunteers are friendly and it’s worth a little patience when making your way around.

I really liked this mini-farm. The animals are nice and the farm co-operates with schools to give kids an opportunity to grow up chicks. Also, you can ride a horse, if you want. If you want to get a taste of living on a farm, you can volunteer to look after the animals and get rewarded with
a free meal.

My husband and I like to avoid the big tourist type attractions, so on a recent visit to London we decided to go here as we are big animal lovers. I want to say from the outset, that this place is NOT just for kids. We're both in our 30s and I have to say it was an amazing experience.

We got to meet and feed all the cute (feisty) goats, sheep and ducks! There were lots of other animals including guinea pigs, hens, donkey's, rabbits and birds. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time moving around the complex at our own leisure to meet all the animals. There were no big crowds or rude people, just lots of sweet animals!

The staff are all friendly and helpful, and seem to be doing a fantastic job! I really hope this place continues for years to come.
