Amazing experience in this intimate setting - we were completely amazed- I've never seen our six year old grandson speechless and us the grandparents too. We have been talking about it all the way home. I would thoroughly recommend it.

We had a great afternoon at the Magic Cavern, to celebrate my daughter's 14th birthday. It was slick, well presented and great fun, with a good variety of tricks that completely amazed and baffled us. We loved the intimate feel of the tiny theatre, and the sound and lighting made the show more special. We were sad when it came to an end after one and a quarter hours, and would definitely go back for more, especially as at £36 for a family ticket, it felt like extremely good value. Richard, the magician, encourages lots of audience participation, and we would highly recommend this show to everyone, young and old.

If your looking to experience some truly astonishing closeup magic from some of the counties' best magicians in a really cosy intimate environment the this place is for you! The theatre istself is in the basement of 'The Curtains Up' pub and allows you to bring in drinks from the pub and enjoy them whilst enjoying the cosy and intimate atmosphere of the threatre itself which (at a guess) sits an maximum audience of 40-50. Although its small the theatre is fully equipped and everyone feels involved (even the back row are less that 10 feet from the performer).

Trust me just go and experience this for yourself. you wont regret it. especially since the tickets are priced around £10 for an hour of top draw magic. Bargain!

We went to the long-running, Sunday afternoon show which lasted 1h 15 min. We took a group of 8 year olds and the audience was half kids, half adults, squeezed into a tiny underground theatre under a pub in Baron's Court. It was a very good, close up magic show with lots of audience participation and amazing tricks - some standard card tricks (that were nevertheless super) and some that were totally unexpected and took our breath away. The magician (Richard Leigh) was very personable and entertaining. A very enjoyable event.

Long live close-up magic. Richard Leigh clearly is a master of his craft. 75 minutes of nonstop entertainment that drew gasps of surprise at every turn. The finale is bafflingly brilliant and left me and my 8 year old nephew on our feet applauding...how did he do that? Incredible value for money.

VERY good value afternoon's entertainment and a great taster to magic (i.e. instead of forking out £30 a ticket for the magic circle). We arrived early and had a one on one card trick for five minutes which my teenage son thought was great. It's a very small theatre and you will get involved in the tricks. The first couple of tricks were ok, but the final 3 including the finale (and the very quick one after the finale) were very good. We initially thought that we could work out half of the finale (so will you), but when the other half was revealed we were left at square one i.e. not having a clue.

This is a really small theatre tucked under a pub in Barons Court. I don't think you could get more intimate if you tried.

There was some great tricks including the finale which I couldn't work out. It wasn't like anything else I have seen.

Richard was very sweet, funny and engaging. He was great with kids - mine loved it and want to see him again. My son loved going on stage and being part of the trick.

If your teenagers love magic then this is one of those places where its fun to spend an hour. The magician is a lovely, friendly and very enthusiastic guy, who simply loves his job, which is very endearing.
It only seats around 30 people in a basement club (under a lovely pub), and is set up as a magical cave. The magician makes every effort to get audience participation, and does some clever tricks.
He also builds up one series of tricks to a wonderful finale, where you are left wondering how the hell he achieved it. (whilst I worked out how he did it - at least in part - I am not going to reveal it, and will leave that up to you to see if you can crack it!)
Its lovely seeing entertainers at local level working hard and giving their best to their audience.

The Magic Cavern is a really entertaining magic show held in the Barons Court Theatre, which is located in the Curtains Up pub in West Kensington / Barons Court.

My friends and family really enjoyed the show. I must say, some of the tricks were really clever. The magician is a friendly, and very entertaining bloke who really puts on a great show. It's well worth a visit, and great value too.

We booked tickets online for this, thought we'd take our two children (13 and 10) up to London for something to eat and some magical entertainment.I had read some reviews and it looked good.Unfortunately we found the tricks dissappointing, some of them my daughter could do with her magic set! The magician was quite frantic and difficult to follow at times, spoke really quickly and kept laughing when nobody else was, such a shame.I think this would be ok if you live locally and just fancy seeing a few tricks whilst enjoying a pint as the pub itself is great and really good food, or with younger children as they may find it entertaining.
