Neighborhood: St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.

I’ve purchased 3 pairs of Crocket and Jones shoes in my time. I love their shoes decided to return an unwanted birthday present pair of shoes from Boggi Milano and take my money to CJ.
Looked up the pair I wanted on their website and the location at which they were available (92 Jermyn Street)
Went into town the next day to buy them only to be told the price might be different because the sale had ended at Midnight.
I had no idea the sale ended the next day otherwise I would have reserved on-line for pick up. Anyway to cut a long story short the shop were adamant that the shoes were back to full price, even though they were discontinued and this pair remaining, in 9.5 and wide fit were not available on the updated website.
So, so disappointing, in my book, to treat a long-standing customer and enthusiast like this.
On the positive side I still have £300 in my pocket but not sure I want to continue patronising the brand.
Not a huge loos to such a big company financially but really disappointing service.

Visited the big Jermyn Street store today and purchased a beautiful pair of shoes.
It has been a long time since I have gone into a store where the staff are all super friendly and very professional.
I will 100% be returning to Crockett and Jones to buy more of their products and visit a proper shoe store with such a friendly athmostphere!!!!!!!

Crockett & Jones lives on its reputation of being a high quality shoe manufacturer. In my experience, that is not the case at all. Indeed they have clearly given up all desire to put effort in to support the customer, don't waste your money on any of their products.
I bought a pair of boots that were £300 and were supposed to last a lifetime. While only wearing the boots occasionally over 18 months, the heel came off one of the boots. An independent retailer and one of the sales managers said proper leather had not been used and it seemed that it had come apart unexpectedly. Despite this Crockett & Jones wanted to charge me £120 to repair the boots.
The service and support from Crockett & Jones is used only to try and garnish more money from client solely for the company's bottom line. My recommendation is that you spend your money on any other manufacturer or at any other outlet where they take enough pride in their product to stand by it and service it properly.

Very Arrogant Members of staff. I’ve purchased two pairs from this company. On both occasions promised an after case service which I was told included free polishing and replacement of the sole of the shoes when they expire. When I return to the store I was dealt with in a very demeaning and belittling manner. Both members of staff simply laughed at my face, very unprofessional And I left the store feeling Absolutely humiliated. I I reported this to the regional manager who at the end give me a lesson on what to expect from high end she Shoemaker.

Preface: I hate shoe shopping!!
The location of this store is beautiful and fun. The area is like an open mall, covered on top and open on the ends, intriguing and delightful to wander through.
My son and husband love shoe shopping and are insistent on high quality and extreme comfort. They found exactly what they want at Crockett and Jones. Now both intend to buy all there dress shoes here and only here. In spite of myself I must admit the shoes here are beautiful, but such beauty is expensive. (Heavy sigh...)
It helps that the staff is terrific, they are welcoming, pleasant, not at all pushy, funny, and very helpful. It’s a small store with men’s shoes on the first floor and women’s upstairs, they also have a separate storage nearby.
Initially we looked at Churches shoes (now owned by Prada) but found them too heavy and not as comfortable as expected/desired. Crockett and Jones was the other shoe store on our list and we ended up buying 3 pairs.
Anyway, if you want a really well made comfortable pair of shoes that will last for many years, this is the place to get them. They have been making shoes since the 1800’s and the business remains in the hands of the founding family.

Having never purchased hand made shoes before I did some research and decided on this store and brand.
From entering the shop to leaving you were treated as valued customers.
We explained what we were looking for and were shown a variety of styles. As we were wearing trainers at the time we also had on sports socks. In order to measure our feet correctly we were offered socks suitable for shoe wearing and our feet were correctly measures and to our surprise were not the size we would normally wear. Two sizes appeared so that we could decide which were more comfortable. With the shoes picked and boxed we were thanked for our custom and left.
On wearing the shoes that evening it was like putting on a pair of gloves. They were perfectly fitted and were so comfortable. I now wished I had of purchased these shoes years ago.
I would highly recommend this brand if you are looking for comfortable hand made shoes. Now can not wait to get my next pair.

I have used this shop several times over many years. My latest experience was really off-putting. The young lady sent over to help me by the apparent manager spoke little English. She measured my feet and proceeded to bring me footware to try on that was 2 sizes to big and in an incorrect width. She didn't seem to understand how annoying this was, while the remaining staff, including the manager, in an otherwise empty shop, witnessing the exchange studiously avoided coming over to help. So this is Jermyn Street service? There are plenty of places where one can spend the sort of money involved where service and availability are of a higher standard.

There are two older gentlemen who were polite, informative, and professional. I'd ask for them and wouldn't even bother with the younger staff to be honest, because the couple next to me definitely did not receive the same level of care and expertise than I received.
I was greeted by the man with the mustache ( he looks like your traditional British grandfather) and he advised me there were more selections of ladies shoes upstairs. Michael join me a few moments later and his level of service was impressive. Not only did he phoned two other stores to check shoe stock but he also explained the perfect fit of shoe, shoe maintenance and care, and his opinion on other London shoe brands.
As for the quality, I was told my Chelsea boots will last for 8 years. Time will tell, and I'll give updates.
I ended up sharing some banter with Michael and the other gentleman and they were both informative and cheeky. They were both highlights of my first trip to London and I'm really glad I came in.

Good quality shoes, especially their Hand Grade range; however, the staff at this store let the brand down. I have been here twice to try shoes and both times, I have left unhappy with the service and left without shoes.
The most recent time I was fobbed off to another staff member twice, I gave up and went up the road to Edward Green (my usual stop for shoe) instead.
