Great teahouse, wonderful customer service
Mar 2020
I recently found this wonderful teahouse in bustling Camden. It has a huge range of teas to choose from. I have to admit to being a relative novice when it comes to tea, so I found the choice to be daunting at first, but I needn't have worried because the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. A young lady called Erica patiently walked me through the different types of teas and their uses, and recommended me a few teas that I am still using and enjoying. I will definitely go back for more, and highly recommend this place for a visit if you are in the area.

Definitely the best Tea room in London !
Dec 2019 • Solo
Having visited most of the London's teahouses and teashops, I can say that Mei Leaf is certainly the top one.
The staff is very competent, especially I have to mention Lily, who is very nice, friendly and kind.
I went to Mei Leaf for 2 consecutive days and I tasted 2 special raw Puerh teas, in Gong fu cha mode (at Mei Leaf they call it True Brew mode).
The quality and the assortment of the teas is spectacular !! I spent 2 consecutive days at the end of December, but I will return to visit Mei Leaf in the future I hope.

Relax in Camden
Dec 2019 • Solo
Mei Leaf is my favourite Tea House in London. There may be better but I haven't discovered it yet.I love to relax with one of their amazing range of Oriental tea's either over a book or observing the CTM staff packaging the medicinal herbs on the other side of the room. For anyone wanting to escape the mayhem of Camden Market you won't go far wrong at Mei Leaf.

Simply the best place for tea in London
Jun 2019 • Couples
My only regret is that I didn't discover this place sooner. It's one of my favourite places to go, both as a tea lover but a quiet spot to relax and take a breather from the busy city. The range of teas, expertise and customer service offered is exemplary, you won't find the same traditional delivery of the teas anywhere in London. Well priced teas, especially if you get the true brew - easily a couple of hours of continuous infusions for less than £10. I'm just hoping to meet the notorious Don for a cup of Fuding Silver Needle together!

First ever Gong Fu tea experience
Feb 2019 • Couples
I've been following Mei Leaf on YouTube for a while now, so my husband and I planned a visit to the shop yesterday. We were served by a friendly lady who showed us the menus. After extensive reading and finding it hard to make a choice (there's plenty to come back to experience I had to keep telling myself) we decided to try the gong fu tea experience. I'm so glad we did! She explained everything we needed to do and the whole tasting experience was so much fun. Working out what we can see, smell and taste was a whole new world to us and I can't wait to return. We also bought some tea to take home. I can't wait to return here and work my way through the menu.

Hi Amanda, Thanks so much for coming in and for trying the Gong Fu way of brewing yourself - it is the most immersive way to experience tea and I am happy that you enjoyed your session. Thanks for watching us on YouTube, plenty more videos on their way!

Beautiful teahouse and people!

Great experience drinking Royal peach orchid brewed gong fu style (of course). I'll probably stuff my suitcase with too much of their merchandise, but it's worth it!
BTW, Celine is just as sweet in real life as she is in the Mei Leaf videos :)

Best tea shop in London!
Jun 2018 • Solo
Such a wide range of fantastic tasting and sometimes very rare teas.

Don, Celine & all the staff have always been very friendly & certainly know what they’re taking about.

A chilled, relaxed atmosphere that certainly contrasts with the madness of Camden. I always end up leaving happy & will certainly be back for more.

Great unique place to try new tea
Apr 2018 • Friends
A friend took me here to try not only the tea, but to experience the way that the tea is brewed and served.
We had Ruby Gaba tea and every time you brew the leaves, it tastes slightly different, and the tea leaves smell different when they are dry and wet.
It's a great place that's got such a more relaxing vibe than you're typical Starbucks or Costa, and so much more culture. Would definitely recommend this place for a chilled out tea drinking session either alone or with friends.

LOVE THIS TEA PLACE
Jan 2018 • Solo
Everything about this tea place is just so lovely and nice. Very informative too about the benefits of the teas they serve and sell. The best part is the staff who works there behind the counter serving us tea and explaining with passion all the benefits and taste of the teas. I love their staff very much, they make the Mei Leaf look good. LOVE IT. Thank you! Drink any tea there, it's good for you!

Fantastic atmosphere and a great selecttion
Dec 2017 • Family
I spent a tranquil afternoon in here and had a couple of pots of tea, and ended up buying some to take home as well. They have a great range of teas with detailed descriptions of not only the flavours, but also the location the tea was grown and methods used in making the tea. The staff are very friendly and happy to give recommendations if, like me, you don't know what you're doing.
