The Play was set in the mid 1960s and the present day. A moving tale of a Gay / Sraight love triangle ,well acted with the clever use of flash backs and how it played out to the present day. A huge mirror at the rear of the set reflected both the cast and audience, Showing the action from all angles gave a heightend sence of drama.

With a violent gay rape scene this play is not for the faint hearted or children.

The Trafalgar Studios have had the auditorium refurbished. Unfortunaty the new seating has no armrests. I found this most disconcerting .

At first I thought I'd miscalculated dreadfully on choosing this play, because my wife & I are both freshly on our 2nd marriages after being divorced after 20-odd years of marriage, and so many parts of this resonated with painful memories we'd had to endure.
But once we pushed that to the back of our minds, we could really enjoy this play, with the betrayed wife, the husband stealer and the man who can't say no! Yet hardly a cliché in sight.
Just don't go to it if you're already being unfaithful, because your partner will see the signs!

Really good play, interesting story line, great acting. Kept my husband awake which is rare after a glass of wine on a warm evening! Felt very moved afterwards, though I did find the first half way more stimulating than the second, may have been a tad drawn out at the end. Overall the best play I have seen in a while.

I saw this show last Saturday at the Matinee performance and it was brilliant.
The acting was top notch by all of the cast and the staging was excellent too.
I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.

I don't mind the odd musical, but my heart lies with watching a play and The Passion Play really hit the spot! The direction is untouchable, composed in a stylised form - each of the actors out did themselves! Really worth a watch and in the heart of city, close to covent garden if planning a meal before hand. It's one of those plays that leaves you thinking!
