About
I am a London Blue Badge Tourist Guide. A Londoner born and bred I love nothing more than showing visitors this amazing city. Since lockdown I have been offering an extensive programme of Virtual Tours. My Blue Badge allows me to exclusively guide in all the major London sites, such as the British Museum and The Tower of London. My qualification also allows me to guide inside St Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. How about a walking tour? In my opinion, on foot is the only way to experience the beating heart of the city. I cover subjects and areas including the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the 2012 Olympic Games, Jack the Ripper, The Street Art of Shoreditch and Spitalfields and Royal London. How about cycling through the city as well? I can tailor a day to fit your needs.

I'm delighted to give a very positive review to Pepe, not only for his excellent 'virtual' tour of The Street Art of Spitalfields but also for the way in which he has masterminded the production of a first rate selection of 'virtual' Blue Badge guided tours delivered through the miracles of Zoom during these very difficult last few months. In conjunction with his Blue Badge colleagues we have been treated to a programme of twenty fascinating tours, with the promise of more to come. I can thoroughly recommend Pepe, not only as a guide in his own right (his passion for street art is truly infectious) but also for the way in which he has seized the opportunity to get to grips with a new electronic medium and thereby giving pleasure to the very many who have been lucky enough to experience these tours.

I signed up for these tours which started in January, having been on a virtual walking tour of the East End with Pepe Martinez which was organised by the Wimbledon Art Society. They have been a boon during the winter months of January and February and will continue until April. We have been entertained twice a week by a whole range of visits with different guides around London and have also been to York and even Rome. They are tremendous value for money and all the tours are recorded so if missed can be watched at a later date. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Pepe gave a stunning virtual tour of London Street Art for Our Arts Society members and we were joined by Members from across the UK, an audience of 97 in total who were superbly informed, entertained and educated about this fascinating subject. Pepe's content and delivery style kept a challenging audience enraptured for 70 minutes not an easy task. I have spent an hour answering all the complimentary emails that have come in since the talk finished.

We have now watched a number of Pepe's virtual tours, and all are excellent. There is so much you will learn from him about London - the people, the places, the art, the architecture and the history.
These tours have been a godsend during lockdown, and we are really looking forward to many more.
He also (through his many contacts) arranges virtual tours overseas, and through them we have already enjoyed tours of Rome and Venice.
Sign up as soon as you can - it's a small price to pay for hours of really informative entertainment

Pepe gave the first virtual walk via Zoom to over 100 members of The Arts Society Winchester about the New East End of London. Pepe’s presentational skills, his knowledge, and story telling were all outstanding. The feedback we received from members were all excellent including “absolutely brilliant, thank you”, “we are so lucky to be the recipients of such a good quality and interesting virtual walk”, “a breathe of virtual fresh air” and “the walk was full of variety and hugely enjoyable”. Pepe is an extremely professional guide and we have no hesitation in asking Pepe to give us a second virtual walk, this time on Theatreland.

First class, book with confidence. Highly personable, skilled communicator. Entertaining, knowledgeable with a love of his topic (the East End of London) which he was so skilled at sharing - and all delivered via zoom. I was equally impressed with his command of the user practicalities of zoom i.e. in helping out those who were less familiar by clearly and patiently explaining what was where on their screens, and how to benefit from this new medium A totally professional guide and a humorous and warm human being.

These tours have been brillaint during Lockdown. Pepe and his team of blue bdage guides have given us hours of fascinating tours, mostly in London ranging from pre history to the modern times. We have discovered many hidden detlights as well as the more well known plces but even here there was much that was new. We have ventured to York and some very special ones to Rome. We have done all this from the comfort of our home, the added bonus we can dot all round the city, use google earth , google street views giving us real time and videos and pictures. We can also see close up and hear every word without distractions or trying to get to the front to see better. Well done to Pepe and his team for coming up and executing such a wonderful programme. We are coming to the end of our first course and have signed up for the second one starting next week. we are off to Rome again on Sunday! These tours have been a highlight of the last few months during isolation! Congratulations to everyone who has worked so hard to bring us so many hours of pleasure! keep it up.

This was a virtual tour about the Street Art in the East End of London. Amazing! Pepe knows how to explain precisely the different types of Street Art, where and when it originated from, the different artists, the individual styles, stories about the artists and of course we virtually walked the streets of Whitechapel to become familiar with the often iconic Street Art. It was colourful in more than one sense. Highly recommended for young and old and probably even better as a walking tour.

I have seen many tours from those provided by Pepe Martinez on-line. All the presenters give high quality, informative but light-touch and entertaining talks. I see them live when possible but being recorded is really useful as I can watch them at a time that is convenient to me and whenever I need a "lift" of mood. Great value too.

Pepe Martinez gave an excellent virtual tour of London's historic East End to the Wimbledon Arts Society. A number of members sent appreciative messages which are copied below:

Terrific tour. Really enjoyed it.

The talk was exceptionally good, I thought, in every way — the content, the delivery and the innovative high-tech presentation.

Thank you all on the committee for such a brilliant tour. I asked several questions via the ‘private’ facility which he answered. I would not fancy the hotel that offered only ropes to sleep over!

I do hope you will engage him again.

Thank you so much for arranging this wonderful zoom tour with Pepe Martinez - huge success. The maps and route were a great help. I took a Widfas group round Dennis Severs house and then on to Carluccio for supper.

Huge thanks for organising the really brilliant talk last night
The East End is fascinating & Pepe was superb
I do hope we can get him back one day
