I attended a four hour pasta class at La Cucina Caldesi last week and it was fantastic. During the course, we leaned how to make fresh pasta and although there were probably around 16 participants, we all got the opportunity to make our own pasta and learn how to use the pasta machine. We made spinach and ricotta ravioli which... More

Was bought this gift as a Christmas present from my son who had previously attended a class himself which was also a Christmas gift for him the previous year. We all love to cook so he thought we would enjoy this very much. Really exceeded expectations. A really lovely group of 16 all standing around a large table being taught... More

The course was led by Giancarlo (the owner) himself assisted by a team of chefs who all are very friendly and have a great sense of humour. Everything was demonstrated clearly for all the attendees to see and we got our hands dirty rolling pasta, chopping herbs, mixing dough and tasting the dishes as they were progressing. I was especially... More

Although we are not vegetarian, we went with the vegetarian antipasto option and it was amazing. So much work went into the dish, which looked so appetising, colourful and it did not disappoint on taste either. Lovely bottle of wine and price was reasonable too. Restaurant is just off the beaten track, so quiet and well worth seeking out.

The workshop was organised as part of a company do for those interested in Italian cooking. We were split in teams of 2 or 3 and there was enough activity for about 8 teams! We were given different dishes to prepare; snacks, main meals, fry ups, quick dishes, desserts... The kitchen over all was inspirational as well as the scent... More

Good experience in this restaurant (upstairs) Service is professional, paying attention to details. Real fresh and home made pasta! Excellent ! The wine was expensive (Barolo) but not amazing unfortunately But we will go back definitely

What a wonderful day out. I attended the Sunday Market Kitchen class which started with a trip to the Farmers' Market where we selected some amazing ingrediants. This was followed by some informative cooking demonstrations and some hands on cooking. We all then sat down to enjoy the food we had prepared together. The atmosphere was relaxed and light hearted... More

Was bought the 'Sunday Farmers Market' cookery lesson as a xmas present. On arrival everyone was warmly greeted with coffee, biscuits and jovial conversation by the Cadesi team. We were given an outline of the day and taken to the local market. On our return we were talked through all the food and, in pairs, were given different parts of... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
