Absolutely loved this place. The flower and plants market is only open Sundays. Go an hour before they’re closing and you’ll get some great bargains as they reduce the prices.
Make sure you walk through the market twice and work out what you want. Then try to choose all your plants from the same stall as you can bargain with them if you buy several.
I bought so many lovely plants. There’s also shops on the same road that sell porcelain pots.

You can be sure you're heading in the right direction from Hoxton station thanks to the scent of flowers that you can breath or you'll need simply to follow a person because it feels like everybody, coming out from this station, had the same idea to buy flowers.
This market takes the name from the road. You'll find many differents type of flowers and plants.
This road will always be super crowded as it's well known and open just on sundays.
Really worth it and super convenient prices.

I've been coming here for years and its becoming more touristy (likely from TA reviews!). The flower market is only open on Sunday, but some of the boutique shops open other days too. The shops include jewelry, clothing, garden pots, nik-naks, gifts, cafes & a Spanish restaurant. Several of them overpriced, but you might find something unique. There are more stalls/shops down Ezra road, so don't miss that side street too.
A suggested Sunday itinerary: start at Liverpool st station, walk through Spitalfields market, then Bricklane market. 5mins to Colombia road, then wander around box park shops, then get on tube at Shoreditch overground.
The flower market is one of the last markets where you will hear a Cockney accent plying for trade. They sell flower bouquets, bulbs, herbs, shrubs, vines & tress. From about 14:30, they start selling things off cheap- 3 flower bunches for £5, an orchid in a pot for £3 or 2 for £5 etc. It is a working market & gets incredibly busy, so don't stand blocking the way to take photos! If the centre of the street is too crowded, there is a footpath on either side of the road, behind the stalls where you walk along quicker, still see the flowers but wont feel claustrophobic!

I arrived at 10.:0am and yes it was busy but not impossible. The fragrance was amazing, the little boutique shops very interesting and lots of places to eat. Live jazz street musicians added a party atmosphere- everything I love about London.

Last visited this market in the 90’s so was very pleased to find it hasn’t changed much on a recent visit!
Still selling great plants although, more trendy succulents and air plants etc, good prices and great characters selling bargain plants. Also most had a card machine for over £10 so no need to have to find cash machine.

Spent a fabulous morning here (15 minute walk from Old Street station) today. The plants and flowers all looked healthy and the prices were good too. Lots of lovely independent shops and cafes located around the market too. Was really crowded by 10.30am so get there early!

Love this Sunday market which is busy and offers stunning flowers at great prices. Well worth a visit but be ready for the crowd. It’s extremely busy but worth the visit

If nothing much is taking place one Sunday, a trip to Colombia Road Flower Market is a great way to spend a morning. There are plenty of little cafes to visit for a good breakfast before stretching your legs, walking past the cheery market stall holders selling flowers and plants. I'm never disappointed by the quality - they last so much longer than shop bought and you pay a fraction of the cost. Behind the stalls on both sides are little independent shops selling interior goodies, perfume, floristry bits and bobs. It's a fascinating place.

I need some help!
I have been to Colombia Road several times and absolutely love it. My parents are coming to London next weekend, and I would love them to experience it too. However, my mum is in a wheelchair and so I am wondering about when the quietest time of day for her to visit would be. If anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated!
Thanks
