A fun, independent cocktail bar off Brick Lane with an outdoor area, serving fabulously mixed drinks, pizzas and DJs every weekend. Our music programme is eclectic and lively, spinning everything from motown, soul, funk, old school hip hop and beats at the weekends and during the week, live acoustic sessions.

What a gem!

What a lovely little bar, everyone was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The DJ on Friday night played the perfect set so much so we ended there again on the Saturday night. Great cocktail list and would highly recommend.

Perfect bar for a private party! Can't say enough good things!

I cannot recommend this bar enough! I hosted an engagement party for a few of my friends, and Kim was fantastic on responding quickly and thoroughly. She also had some great recommendations for decorations, etc. On the evening both Ron and Mohammed, the bartenders, were top notch. Extremely friendly, made custom cocktails that were delicious and overall felt like they were a part of the party. Currently thinking on what is the next big event I can host there. The photos of the space just don't do it justice. Highly highly recommend!

I was recently at Apples & Pears for a friends party and really enjoyed myself.
I’m not really a cocktail kind of person but the effort and skill the bartenders had was brilliant.
The venue is great, different levels with different music and the team who work there made the evening.
If I find myself in the area again I’ll make sure I don’t walk by.

WORST Open Mic Experience!

I was so excited to get the chance to participate in Apple & Pears first open mic night, but unfortunately my experience ended up being that of disappointment. The person running the open mic night was dismissive, rude and unprofessional. My guitarist and I were the first ones to sign up for the open mic, we got there early to be sure to get a slot. Hours went by and we still hadn’t been called up. After approaching the person 3 times to ask when we would be on, I was told twice to wait, he would check and a the final time I was told we’d already been called and missed our chance to perform, even though we had been glued to our chairs the whole night and would have heard our names. He was lying to cover up his mistake. The whole evening consisted of male artists, expect for two female vocalists. I was one of them and felt pushed to the back the entire night. He didn’t provide a fair platform at all and was defensive when he was pulled up on his mistake. I won’t be heading to this place again and if you’re new to the music world I would advise not coming here for an open mic experience.

Thank you for your review. However, I was present on the night, watching the event from behind the bar. You and your guests did leave the bar at the time that your names was called. The promoter called you several times over the mic and no one came to the stage. The Open Mic night is hosted by an external promoter and it's a very popular night. We have all kinds of acts that come and perform; I really don't see the relevance of mentioning that there were more male acts than female. It really depends who signs up on the night to perform and we welcome all acts and people. I don't feel you were pushed to the back; from my view, you looked like you were having a good time with your friends and were supporting the acts that were performing. To give a 1 star review on our business page because you were disgruntled that you didn't perform and due to a disagreement you had with the promoter is unfair. I witnessed the disagreement and I found you and your friend to be confrontational towards the promoter, which was completely unnecessary and it's not behaviour we welcome within our establishment.

Great night

When we got there at 830, it was quiet upstairs. We weren't sure about going in.
SO GLAD WE DID!!!
Even in the 'apocalypse' of covid-19 it soon started to fill up.
The drinks were fab and good value, the staff were great and the music was fantastic and got everybody up.
A truly great night.

Fabulous birthday celebration at Apples & Pears

I recently celebrated my birthday in the downstairs private bar area of Apples & Pears. It was a wonderful evening and I cannot recommend the venue or the professionalism of the team highly enough. I had a wonderful evening and would book again with no hesitation.

Fantastic night!!!

Brilliant night for my sisters birthday. Glad we pre booked table as the bar seemed very full when we arrived even though that was 8pm. Cocktails were fantastic, usual expensive price but worth it! Didnt have any expectations of DJ but he was amazing! Played the best music and mixed tunes so well! Gotta say one of the best nights ever!!!! Staff were lovely too! Minor thing but complimentary water with cucumber was lovely!!!

Wouldn't normally take the time to review this but they made my birthday awesome. great cocktails, great music, speedy service for a busy bar. I loved it. DJ was fantastic - it was a like a club mix of magic and kisstory and it was legendary. Wouldn't hesitate to go again :-)

Thankfully it didn't disappoint!

After booking this venue online, never visited before, no friends either, it was a real gamble. Thankfully they didn't disappoint. We hired the downstairs bar for a private party last weekend, and the bar staff were great. My only negative feedback would be with regards to the outside caters, my advice would be don't bother with food if you don't have too!
