Neighborhood: Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Horrendous
Like a badly performed Am Dram production!

Terrible performances and staging, really very bad. And so so expensive.

No wonder it closed

Ok....
I LOVE the spice girls and feel like they were a huge part of my childhood. When they are on TV I still get that excited feeling I got when I was six and they were on TV. Clearly, therefore, I loved the music in this show but the story line was fairly dull. I can see why the show closed as they could have done a lot more with it.

It was my first time sitting in the front row at a musical and I loved the front row experience.

The cast were not the most amazing I have ever seen but they were ok. The show was ok. To sum it up I would say. Ok...

Could Have Been Better

I'm not surprised that this musical ended earlier. I was a massive Spice Girls fan but this musical should have focused on the early beginnings of the girls. It does include all their hit songs though.

Disappointing but a must see for any Spice Girl fan

First I should say that I would credit myself with being one of the spice girls biggest fans! I LOVE them and their music ... BUT this musical is awful. The story line is just terrible and doesn't do the music any justice. Could have been great... Should have been the next Mamma Mia but sadly no... It's closing. Having said all this, every Spice Girl fan must see it! Spice up your life!

I know it's closed now, but thought I would write a few words. It was good fun going with girlfriends on a Sat matinee with very discounted tickets, singing along at the end. Can see why the show didnt's survive. The cast was very committed, I thought.

I loved this show and was deeply saddened when I found out this show had closed. It was of West End standard and had some of the greatest songs written to support it. The show was also thoroughly witty and had great humor. Listening to Wannabe being played by an orchaestra was definitley a highlight of the show as it was fun and enjoyable. As well as the music, the charactars were also very well developed especially the girls of "Eternity". Would've loved to see this show again but at least I have the memories now.

Could b great

Could have been a great show, with music of the spice girls and a book by Jennifer Saunders who thought it wouldn't do as well as it should. My big issue with it was the lack of girl power is that not what the girls stood for? My other issue was the 4 lead girls so badly cast I wanted to scream, they were weak in their performance and no energy or power came from them, I think with so more added comedy and a strong lead the show could have done way better

Didn't Work

When my friends and I heard the news that this show was closing due to poor ticket sales, we rushed out to see it on a Lastminute.com meal-and-show package. Although I am glad to have been given the opportunity to see 'Viva Forever' (as I believe it will never resurface in any shape or form again), I was shocked at just how bad it was.

I was a huge Spice Girls fan back in the day but the poor renditions of their songs in this so-called musical left me feeling cold rather than nostalgic. The dialogue and acting were wooden. Other audience members appeared to be entertained but the only time my friend and I laughed were at 'sentimental' scenes including an awful mash-up of the Spice Girls hits 'Mama', 'Goodbye' and flop comeback single 'Headlines'.

I hope 'Dirty Dancing' (which is replacing 'Viva Forever' and opens today) restores the reputation of the Piccadilly Theatre and allows us to forget about this sorry episode.
