I’m not aware of a single full day tour but you can certainly book a morning tour, then have some lunch and continue on to a 2nd tour in the afternoon. Perhaps an ice cream tour ! Or you could do the hop on hop off open top... More

It is a lot of walking but there is a lot of stopping for information talks along the way which would t hold a 4yr olds attention. However the guide we had -Amber was fab and could direct you on ahead of the group to get the ground covered without pressure. You do get a great view of the guards on horse back, marching soldiers and band coming out at st James palace. Again you could go on ahead down the mall ahead of the crowd to avoid the fast walking to keep up with them to get to the palace. It’s crowded at the buckingham palace end but worth it. I’d be lifting him up in arms a bit I’d say! Good luck.
