About
The Hogwarts Express may not exist, but J.K. Rowling fans can still have a photo op at King’s Cross; be prepared to wait. Afterwards, spend your galleons on souvenir wands, toys, and Gryffindor gear.

A special mention to the member of staff on the wand section, absoutley amazing, knew everything about each wand, and made the experice for our daughter more enjoyable.

If you are a Harry Potter fan you have to visit,

However never mind the staff wearing Hufflepuff and Slytherin jumpers. They need to wear masks and stripey black and white jumpers, as the prices are "day light robbery" . Unless the wands can magic money, then us muggles are going to be leaving the store a bit lighter in our wallets.

Again it was an amazing experience for our daughter. I can't fault that.

And I understand people will say "You don't have to buy the merch"
However we are not minge bags, and want to make memories for our daughter. That I suppose is priceless.

Big thank you to all the staff for making it amazing for the kids.

It is a very good place for taking a picture Harry Potter style, you will have to make a line for 15-30 mins, then you can go into the store, taking the picture is not required to into the store to but some Harry Potter's gifts though. The store is located just outside the King's Cross station, across the St.Pancras train station. So we made a quick stop at the store for a picture and buying a few gifts.

OMG. Our first visit to the Platform 9¾ Kings Cross store. I could not believe my eyes. The hundreds of people all queuing up just to get their photo taken … pushing the trolley onto Platform 9¾.

Seriously… do the Warner Brothers Studio Tour. Not only do you get to see everything Harry Potter … but there are no big lines waiting to have their photo taken on the platform.

The shop is small-ish with loads of customers … all wanting to buy everything on offer. It was very cramped … giggly girls … and giggly boys. Talking to the lovely young lady behind the counter, she said this was quiet compared to the weekend trade.

So I would suggest … if you want to go … do it through the week … avoid this place of a weekend.

Their range is pretty good. They have loads of different products … some of which you cannot get if you visit Warner Brothers, which is understandable.

Great shop ... great experience

I arrived at Kings Cross Station at 11am there were 2 lines one for the shop and one for the photo with the trolley. I waited in line for the shop first which took about 30 minutes, the store was very crowded and everything was sooo overpriced! Then I asked a staff member about lining up for a photo with the trolley in the wall, she told me the line continued outside and it was a 2 hour wait. So I waited outside for an hour then was brought inside to still line up for another 40 minutes. As I waited I watched groups of people get multiple photos taken by a guy that worked there and complained about being sick/unwell then when my time came up I asked if the man taking the photos could take a photo on my own camera as I wasn’t planning on buying any photos and she told me they weren’t allowed so the person behind me offered to take the photo. Then the woman asked which scarf I’d like to wear and which pose I’d like to do a jump or just a photo of me lifting my leg up and pointing a wand at the wall. I asked if I could do one of each and she told me no because they were very busy today and have many people in line waiting. So I got my 1 photo after waiting in line for close to 2 hours went inside and waited for 10 minutes to see the 1 photo taken of me. I asked a girl working inside the store if I could get a second photo as I didn’t think that it was fair that I only got 1 photo because I came alone whereas people that came in pairs or as groups got 3-6 photos. So another person took me back outside with an annoyed look on her face then the man taking the photos outside argued with the other worker about taking a second photo, I had another photo taken and then the same man made comment about me having my photo taken just a couple of moments ago. Some of the staff were rude and inconsiderate, I came from Australia and thought to visit the shop and attraction while I was in London which I was quite excited about but left the station quite annoyed & disappointed.

The shop itself was good, the staff let it down. There was a girl on the wands today (23/10/21) at around 11am with long blonde hair who in particular ruined our experience. As I work in a harry potter shop myself, the person I was with asked if I knew all the wands, which I did & went through each one. The girl simply told me I was incorrect about 2 which I identified as being death eater wands. She said they belonged to the carrow twins which I knew to be untrue as we sell alecto carrows wand and it is a completely different wand to the one she pointed out, and is labelled on the box as belonging to this character. Giving out false information about collectors items is not okay as a collector may be lead to purchase these wands believing them to belong to the wrong character. The stock was good with some things I have not seen before (but a very small collection of wands) however the overall experience was disappointing, I doubt I’ll be back.

Visited the Harry Potter shop at Platform 9 3/4 at King Cross station. As expected they sell everything related to Harry Potter. People queue and pay to get a photo or pushing the trolley into brick wall at Platform 9 3/4 next to shop. Must see.

We visited at the time of Christmas... so we had to wait a 20 minutes in a line just to come inside the shop, and more to take a picture at the 9 3:4 platform, inside the shop was magnificent atmosphere. So the teens had a really great time

Bustling with activity, the Harry Potter store has all the merchandise you can dream of. Wearables and collectibles for all the houses and additional merchandise as well, there's nothing you can't find here. You can also get your own customized acceptance letter to Hogwarts. Absolutely magical.

I'm 12 and a huge Harry Potter fan. I had heard a lot about the shop but was slightly annoyed when I looked at things to buy. This was because while the available items to buy were great, everything was very overpriced. The cheapest item I could find as a souvenir (as in not edible) was £7.95, and it was a small keyring.
Overall I think the shop is very nice to look around but if you are looking to buy anything you'll want to prepare yourself with at least £25.

If you are big or small in size does not matter as long as you are into Harry Potter and his friends. There is something for everyone here. You can easily spend your whole weekly allowance on wands, shirts, keyrings and everything in between.
Even if you dont buy anything the shop itself is quite cool and worth a visit if you are passing by.
I like the fact that they put the shop on the real location of the departure of the Hogwarts Express rather than on a more touristy place.
