We recently hired Bridget for a full day tour by car during a quick trip to London. She picked us up in her lovely small Mercedes and was instantly friendly, energetic and engaging. Having already seen many of the " top ten attractions " and having done the hop on hop off bus the previous day we asked to see some of the " hidden gem attractions". On her suggestion we saw The Wallace Collection, John Soane Museum, The Hunterian Museum at the British College of Surgeons and The Courtauld Museum and had lunch at a 400 year old pub! Bridget was knowlegable about art architecture history and general London info. It was a great use of a day in London.

Our experience with Bridget was more than we had imagined. She picked us up after breakfast in a comfortable Mercedes and started educating us within minutes. She's from the US but has lived in London for decades and loves it with the enthusiasm of a college history major. As she navigated traffic with the aplomb of a cabby she drove us to site after site, telling us interesting and memorable stories about each spot we drove by. We got out of the car at several locations and had more of a look-see with Bridget at the helm. She's a lovely person - easy to talk to and be around. To be honest I wasn't initially thrilled with the idea of spending the money on a private tour, but my husband talked me into it and I'm so glad he did. The tour totally changed our experience of London and, actually, our whole vacation. SO worth the money! I would heartily recommend this experience for any traveler who's looking to add more depth and value to their London visit.

Booked a full day Londay tour with Bridget for myself, wife and two teenage daughters. Bridget picked us up at our hotel in a comfortable Mercedes. Rather than just taking us to the standard tourist attractions, she spent some time talking to us about our interests and what we wanted to see. She then arranged the day to accomodate our interests. Bridget is personable and extremely knowledgeable about all things London. As we made our way attraction to attraction, she pointed out points of interest along the way providing interesting insights and comments. As a registered tour guide, we avoided all the long queues at most attractions.......very convenient and time saving. All in we had a great day. By the end we felt like we were riding and sightseeing with a London friend rather than a tour guide. Would not hesitate to book another tour with her.

Lovely lady, couldn't do enough for us. I've hardly ever been to London, and only mostly travelled by tube when there, so it was wonderful to see and learn about the places that you feel you already know. She really did make the most of our limitted time.

This is a really great experience; she's an amazing American lady called Bridget, lived in the UK for yonks, only stumbled across her by accident as another guide I wanted wasn't available so I was passed on to her.She didn't have the whole day available as she already had a half day booked for a lady travelling on her own(think she's a popular choice for that category, too)but offered me the 2nd half of the day,&boy am I glad I took it!She took me round the St Barts,Smithfield, area &showed me fascinating places &told me all about their history-places I'd never have found on my own.One was a darling little garden called Postman's Park - who knew?!She has a Merc & also does driver guiding in that & can do a full day tour to Bath,stonehenge,Cotswolds-type places if you want. Will definitely make sure I ask her when I'm going to London again. You can google her I think;her site is: bridgetslondontours.com
