Went to see this magical show with my wife last night, and left feeling as though I had just been transported back to the greatest era of British music.
I have just read some of the previous reviews with complete dismay, what were they expecting The real Paul,John,George and Ringo !!
The show was an absolute blast from the first to the last song. Audience participation was strongly encouraged .
This show is a strong recommend and the lads playing was second to none................
Well nearly !! Lol

Firstly, all the reviews on here saying oh its just a tribute band are wrong, yes its a constant sing along with song after song but there is some dialogue in between songs and to be honest, its all about the music and this show really gives a sense of how it would have been to see The Beatles live. First half the audience seemed a little subdued but once encouraged to stand up by the band the audience were straight up on their feet. This is a musical journey through the various phases through the Beatles years. The attention to detail was excellent and the outfits were brilliant. However the highlight for me was the actual cast. They done the fan four proud. Note perfect, gorgeous harmonies and every note hit. It was totally live and the little acoustic part in the middle is fantastic. The John and Paul were outstanding and James Fox deserves to be a big star in his own right - what a voice! Highlights included A day in the life, The long and winding road and While my guitar gently weeps, the guitar solo from 'George was so worthy of the standing ovation given. After the interval it was like a big party! Audience warmed up and singing and dancing! Fab atmosphere. Ended with a superb rendition of Hey Jude and the crowd got really involved it was really really good. If you go to see this show my personal opinion is that you are in for a treat, if these guys are a 'tribute band' then omg what a standard and what a lucky audience to see them! Go see it, if u r a Beatles fan you will be in your element!! Well done to all the cast!!!

We went to see the Saturday matinée performance of the ‘Let It Be’ touring show at Manchester’s Palace Theatre. Can’t really understand why there are a few negative reports about the show posted here. Just so you know what to expect, there are forty Beatles songs performed during the show by an appropriately costumed and equipped 4/5 piece band, so this obviously doesn’t leave much time for dialogue. This is not a musical play of the ‘We Will Rock You’ or ‘Mamma Mia’ type with a cast of dozens conveying an irrelevant storyline through song and dance. If you go along expecting to see a series of almost non-stop Beatles’ songs taking you through the phases of their career with some excellent sets, effects, first class audio and video, plus lots of opportunity for audience participation then you won’t be disappointed. So, now you know.
The highlight for us was the performance of ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’, the guitar solo for which was truly amazing and left us on the verge of tears. We enjoyed the show so much we really wanted to stay and see the next performance, but have settled for booking tickets for the show at another theatre later in the tour.
By the way, in response to those criticisms about Reuven Gershon’s (‘John Lennon’) on stage behaviour spoiling the show – we can clearly recall the real John Lennon constantly clowning, both on stage and off, with very similar antics … well, at least up to the mid-1960s anyway. And if seeing James Fox as ‘Paul McCartney’ playing bass guitar right-handed would spoil the show for you, better give the show a miss!

After seeing Jersey Boys, we decided to get tix to Let It Be. It's a Beatles tribute band. No story, nothing other than fancy costumes and singers who sound a little like the Beatles. We've been to London 5 times, and seen at least 30 shows there. This is the first time we left at the interval.
If you really want to hear the Beatles, put on a CD or your iPod, have a glass of wine, and kick back.

I found it to be awful, there certainly wasn't anything fab about this production most of the music is pre-recorded, the put on scouse accents were embarrassing to listen to, as for the person who was playing the role of John Lennon it looked like his wig was going to fall off the majority of the time.
The guy playing Paul was stomach cringing to watch as well and the other two performers were Ok. We actually left after 40 minutes it was that bad, not sure anyone would have noticed as half the seats in the auditorium were empty to start with. The only positive thing I can think of writing about the whole show is, is that we were very close to the exit doors. If you want a trip down memory lane this isn't going to be it. In fact we got more enjoyment from watching the buskers in Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square.......

Surely this is not a musical. No plot what so ever. Music was good but we were expecting a musical and so we were disappointed.

Went to see this show last night, its basically a beetles tribute night, no story line, considering just how big the the beetles were this show did not do them justice and i am no musical producer but so much more could of been done involving flower power, drug experiences, gorgeous 60's girls with lovely outfits hair and make up dancing! We actually walked out before it finished, the guys singing wernt bad though bless them but there was just no atmosphere

Yup it's a tribute band on stage but if you like any Beetles songs than you must see this. Sure the Scouse accents are not the best but you are not there for that! As musicians they can handle themselves and of course the Beetles songs are naturally excellent.
It's loud (and live) and it thankfully has no stupid storyline or acting (besides the talking in between songs). Some strange reviews on here about being too loud and no acting? Huh?
Listen and enjoy! That's the point!

As regular theatre goers and lovers of Beatles music we were looking forward to this show. What a disappointment. This is the only show we have ever walked out of from boredom. As other reviews suggest, we were expecting a show in the style of Jersey Boys, with other actors on stage and dialogue that helped to tell the amazing Beatles story. But no, it was just one song after another, with some mumbled speech in between. In short - a tribute band. I could have seen similar at a local pub at a fraction of the cost. £26 a ticket was a real rip off. I expect something a little more interesting for that amount of money.

Went to see this show Saturday afternoon in Edinburgh. The show was fantastic and even though it was a matinee performance the audience were really involved and up dancing. This wasn't just a tribute act as the band acted and spoke as though they really were the Beatles.Well worth a visit.

We will be in London June 29 to July 2nd, we would love to see the Let It Be concert. What dates is the show, and what is the cost?

The show is in Dartford on those dates. Tickets from £18.50. Look at the web site. Letibelive. I cannot show the full web site address as Trip Advisor in their wisdom do not allow it. What is the point in anybody asking a question?

Cast is:
Michael Gagliano (John)
Emanuele Angeletti (Paul)
Paul Mannion (George)
Luke Roberts (Ringo)
They had a rotating cast I believe when they were doing Broadway and the West End.
