The cafe here is fantastic. Very reasonably priced and food is great. Sells things such a soup, toasted sandwiches and wraps, homemade pizza, fresh salads, croissants and muffins. Highly recommended.

The building is a great example of modern architecture, but not only. In many ways this is one of the most interesting touristic attraction of modern London. The Crystal is located on Royal Victoria Dock. It contains a permanent exhibition about sustainable development. The Crystal was developed an is operated by Siemens. Visited this museum/exhibition centre while visiting the sites in the Greenwich area. At £5, this is a very reasonably prices exhibition by London standards. So the exhibition is an educational exhibition of urbanisation and sustainable ways of living with ideas on achieving those goals. Found this while looking for something to pass a morning in London. Wasn’t sure what to expect, on arrival lovely gentleman told us about the exhibition and where to start, very informative, just add now kids are free and adults are £5 and includes free return within 2 weeks. We started on the mezzanine with the film pod we waited a bit as didn’t realise that you could start watching the film at anytime. Moved on to each zone, educational and interesting lots of touch screens and interactive things to do, my kids 11&15 really enjoyed it, they commented that lots of the info related to school subjects. We spent about 3 hours but we left a few bits so we can return. We enjoyed the house building and the kinetics activities. Our visit was during school holidays and it was very quiet and lovely to walk around without queueing. A really great activity cheap and interesting, hopefully my kids picked up some tips about turning the lights off ! On site café but we didn’t try it but will next time. We also took a flight on the Emirates flight across the river which was great and worth the ticket price.…
