What a place.
Visions. sounds, tastes and smells. The mad blur!
I attended this pub pre this COVID hell.
I've never had so much fun in my 56 years! Dance, Dance forever!
And plenty of beers on sale... That's for sure...
I fell in love... and out of love.. and back in.. and that's just a Thursday night!
Boris, open the pubs! We need to boogie - and at THE HORN OF PLENTY

Staying at Stepney Green Travelodge, so looked up the closest pub with good beer rating and up popped this cracking old style London local. Lovely, friendly staff with resident pub dog Max, great beers and something going on every night of the week - brewery takeovers, excellent quiz night playing for serious money, half price NHS and student night to name a few. We have visited nearly every night to finish our day and been welcomed every time. Can't lie really going to miss our London Local!

This pub is a true gem, the staff are great and the booze is brill (of course) The interior is warm and cosy, perfect for a winters day!
The food here is unbelievable, affordable, filling and totally totally delicious. The menu is varied and changes from time to time. The flavours are unreal in every single dish and the portions are generous.
The chef (Bob) has an amazing passion for his kitchen. He will share and listen to culinary stories, chat to punters and head back to the kitchen to cookfor the entire pub, alone.
Take a visit, it will most definitely be worth your time, leave feeling warm and full with a desire to go back to more.
To try
*Sunday roast is faultless
*Pork belly is devine.
*Baked camenbert was absolutely incredible.
I am salivating writing this.

Since we graduated uni and life lost its meaning, we’ve been coming here to drink and play board games and make jokes about the sex we’re not having and the lives we’re not leading.
The Horn is small, cosy and friendly with a great selection of drinks and food. The chef recommended me a thing one time when the thing I ordered was off and I really liked the thing he suggested; it was probably better than the thing I originally ordered. (Rob thinks if he uses a semi-colon people won’t think he’s drunk.) (Rob: Well they will think I’m drunk now you’ve said it.)
We’re not entirely sure how they’re still in business but we’re really glad they are.

Recently spent a few days in Stepney. ( Don't ask why).
Amongst the multicultural morass there is a ray of normality - old normal.
That ray of sunlight is The Horns of Plenty!
Lovely pub, clean, well organised, great real ale, and friendly professional staff and "normal" well behaved customers .
I loved it!
Great music too (but that maybe subjective).

We needed a eating place nearby to where our two offspring live in E London. The eldest came up with this pub around the corner from where she lives and a great little find it is.
It is an unassuming 'local' with a real traditional feel, great beer and a simple roast menu on the Sunday we visited.
The staff were lovely, welcoming and very accommodating.
We had the beef and belly pork both of which were high quality and well cooked with a nice combination of veg and great gravy. The roasted garlic was also well worth a go. Puddings were limited but the chocolate pot was delicious though couldn't manage a whole one to myself.
Will definitely re-visit if only for a pint and a game of scrabble !

If Sunday Roast is any indication -- can't wait to try the their sub specialties. Wish I had noticed the half dozen bloody mary concoctions (we had a bottle of wine going and it's a school night) The crowd is in the know eastenders (they are chill but not the shoreditch posers) and the staff are super enthusiastic (they seem to like being there). The music mix had us smiling for two hours -- R&B classics (when I arrived one patron was dancing for his own pleasure). The portions make this a great deal; sadly I had no space for dessert or thankful I did not have a starter. If you are offering classic you better not have flaws - they pull off the the Sunday standards brilliantly. My roast pork is moist and crackling is crisp, fun crispy parsnips shavings, roasted apples (none of that jar sauce), nice autumnal veggies, no non traditional yorkshire filler with my pork. My spouse had the roast beef served rare (not the typical grey cow) - it came with a homemade horseradish sauce (it had a great kick). Definitely returning to try their subs. If I lived in walking distance this would be my local.

To keep it short - we spent £23.00 on two mixed drinks and two Jagermeisters. I then decided to use the washroom only to find the entire toilet covered in vomit, which had been there for a while as it was dry and just disgusting!
I mentioned to the barman that if were were paying that much for drinks I'd expect a toilet not covered in vomit! Only to be told 'what's that got to do with the price of drinks?'
I'm tempted to send in the necessary authorities to assess the cleanliness as it's UNACCEPTABLE!

Fabulous little pub just round the corner from Stepney tube. Well stocked bar with a good selection of real ales, gins and wine. Very helpful staff. We had an issue with a drunk male pestering my friend and I and the girls behind the bar were great!
The chips are just amazing, whichever you choose and all the food is good in general. Love this little pub, always have a good night here. Wish i lived closer!

Some friends were graduating their PhD and we booked a table to ensure we had somewhere to go after the process to have a drink. The staff seemed to hate children as even though they were empty, they asked the mothers of both kids to leave. Rude.
Forgiving that, we ordered food, yet the barman was too busy on his phone, so only a few dishes arrived, then we had to to distract him (from his phone) to get the missing dishes.
Later, a friend ordered a few drinks, yet the very same barman had a very bad attitude, asking for a 'please' before he served any drinks, and scoffed when we handed over the cash.
Needless to say we left and found somewhere else to continue to celebrate.
I'm generally quite forgiving for staff attitudes, but this gut really seemed to think the job he was doing was below him.
I won't be able to recommend this place to anyone, which is a shame, as the place looks OK, and they could get am amazing trade if they took care of their customers who just graduated and didn't wanna be with all the teens.
Definitely not child friendly.

Hello Matt,
Thanks for taking your time reviewing us. Am very sorry to hear about your experience regarding bad customer service, we normally pride ourselves having top customer service. But your comments have been taken to the management and will be investigated.
In regards to the children, we always welcome them with open arms, but our premises license does not allow us to have children in the pub after 7pm. Your party was informed about this as soon as they arrived around 5pm, with repeated warnings. If children are in the pub any longer then 7pm we could potentially loose our license, so this is our standard procedures. Looking at the CCTV we can see that the last kids left around 8pm which is 1 hour after normally allowed.
As of the overpriced drinks we are more or less the same as other pubs in the area, apart from the obvious Wetherspoons.
All the best
Egil
