“Discovered” Punch Tavern on our last trip to London and were eager to return because the setting and the staff were so helpful and fun. Gathered this time with some friends for Sunday roast. What an absolute feast! I had the chicken and my husband had The Trio- a truly massive and delicious meal. He chatted with our server who explained the care and pride the chef takes in the meal. It clearly showed. St. Paul’s just down the street. Dr. Johnson’s house down a nearby alley. Great neighborhood to explore - and great place to revitalize yourselves at Punch Tavern.

the 4 of us went for dinner on a satuday evening . Two had fish and chips, one had burger and chips and I had the Caesar salad . The burger was ok, the fish was ok. The chips could have done with a bit more cooking. The caesar salad which is usally a favorite dish of mine was very dissapointing. It was so dry that i couldnt finish it. There was no dressing just lettece and croutons coverd with grated cheese. Maybe I should have said something at the time but the football was on and everyone looked busy . Plus we had to be somewhere , so didnt really have much time . Our bill was just under £100 per couple, including drinks of wine and beer.
