About
Acklam Village Market is a venue of collaboration of London’s best in street food, drink, entertainment and art. Our street food market venders are sourced at the highest level, and only serve organic ingredients and authentic, traditional recipes from all over the world. Our Fuller’s bar, aims to bring you all the traditional drinks, but also unique micro-beers and ales not readily available at all pubs and bars in London. We are supporters of local communities and projects in London-bringing to the market each weekend: street entertainment, a variety of live-music from jazz to blues, to rock and roll, as well as art displays from paintings to sculptures. Our aim is to bring back a sense of the local community.

vegan sundays
Sep 2019
There is a wide selection of vegan stalls to choose from and for the intrepid meat lovers there is a stall selling "Moving mountain" burgers, which even have a "bleeding" effect, a soy based product, which has successfully captured the texture and umami flavour found in meat products. The adjoining bar allows everyman and his dog to sit and enjoy their lunch . The eclectic décor includes chairs from a disused cinema. The service in unintrusive and they even offer water bowls for dogs. Non alcoholic beer is also on offer and a casual seating area with bean bags and cushioned benches seems to be a favourite for the little ones to jump around on. There is no designated play area so I would suggest bringing along a few toys or games if you would like your children to enjoy their visit too while you enjoy the music.

Great spot for many different types of food. I would highly recommend the Iraqi spot serving “green rice” with broad beans and lamb. It was fresh and delicious. Topped off well with a beer from the outdoor bar at the east end of the market.

Great vibe
Sep 2018 • Couples
Lots of food stalls... Plenty to choose from thai to burgers, philipino to chips, Italian to Peruvian, Spanish to Portuguese.
The smells are great the buzz is great. Perhaps just a lack of seating in the area for all the people but we were lucky to find a nice leopard print bench!
Theres fruit juice stalls and also a bar with live music.
Plenty going on and a really cool place to try out different food.
The Lucifer chips at poptata were very good..a medium portion between 2 is plenty so you can try something else too.

Nice place to chill
Jul 2018 • Couples
Looks a nice place to chill, eat and listen to live music after the mayhem of a somewhat touristy Portobello Rd. The food looks original and good quality and Bar 58 is a great use of space under a flyover. Well worth a look.

Great vibe

I’ve watched this market from afar since I moved into the area but today I checked it out properly and it was hopping! Great breadth of street food for veggies, meaties, peskies, gluten intolerants - the works. Peru to Greece - Philippines to America and the best chips and dips! I went for the Peruvian veggie quinoa buns - delicious! Tucked at the back is a cool bar, bar 56 - the beer is fairly pricey - two moretti bottles for 8 quid - but inside it’s well worth it with bands amidst a dystopian Havana style decor. Everyone’s really friendly and truly villagey too - so in short - most def check it out!

Food galore
Feb 2018 • Couples
Chanced upon this as we were walking through Portobello market. Was an eye opener with all sorts of various cuisines.

We first saw Makan, a Malaysian restaurant, which was closer to the heart. And soon after, we saw the various stalls selling all sorts of food- paella, quinoa, duck confit, award winning sausages, Czech, Mediterranean, Indian, etc...

Very interesting... do come with an empty stomach to get the most from your visit. At the same time, enjoy some great music.
