What a stunning hidden gem this place is?! We couldn’t believe our eyes as we were simply walking through Ealing with a cup of coffee and stumbled across this beautiful park that was quite tucked away. The gardens were absolutely stunning with some water features around to add that added touch of wow! The park is so beautiful picturesque and we couldn’t stop taking pictures everywhere. Absolutely fell in love, highly recommend a visit...

I arrived for an exhibition at Pitzhanger Manor with half an hour to spare so wandered through a walled garden into the comparatively vast space of Walpole Park beyond. It’s a pleasing landscape of grass and trees with various inserts of bandstand (today featuring an Impromptu vocal performance by Mavis Sponge with Oscar Slobb barely accompanying on tom-toms), a rectangular lake with two fountains playfully spurting then falling silent, a children’s play area, even the occasional sculpture.

Whenever I am in ealing I make time to o for a stroll through this park. It's so clean and beautiful place with great flower beds a pond with ducks and an adventure playground . There are plenty of benches along the way with four different entrances. I always use the entrance from mattock lane which is,opposite the shopping centre in ealing. Good for picnics cycling and having fun. There ars resturants near by with cafes and eateries . Go and try it . You won't be disappointed. Get a taste of the local culture .

This is a lovely clean park not far from Ealing Broadway and the shops.

There are a couple of children’s play areas which suit a wide range of ages. The smaller one is built on sand so lovely for the little ones (and dog free) and there’s seating for parents. The rest of the park is well maintained and there are a couple of small man-made lakes which have been beautifully landscaped. We even saw the park wardens patrolling.

There is also a nice little independent cafe with outside seating called The Rickyard serving ice creams, snacks and drinks. I believe it is due to close shortly to make way for some big chain - such a shame.

There's nothing I love more than a slow walk through this beautiful local park. The on site cafe offers great sandwiches made to order and a good variety of other snacks and icecreams. The children's play areas, since the refurbishment, are fantastic. Whether, a peaceful walk, a quiet read on a bench or a fun day out with the kids , this park has it all. Then of course, the wonderful array of activities during the summer months like the beer festival and music festival. Right on our doorstep too!

I walked through the park in the sunshine today and it is really coming on beautifully. The beds beneath the cedars of Lebanon have been recently planted and the refurbished pond and wildlife lake are coming on very quickly. We had a walk round the perimeter and all of the flowerbeds / shrubberies look well maintained. There was no litter and there is a new playground, modern toilets and a basic park cafe. I came to Ealing 12 years ago and this park is far nicer than it used to be and the residents and park staff should be proud. Also I really like the addition of the brass plaques by some of the historic trees giving an idea of their age as well as events in history that were happening around the time they were planted.

I cannot believe how terrible Walpole park is
The council have spent a fortune in creating a disgrace to Ealing
Poor and unfinished flower beds, uncut grass and the wild flower beds an absolute mess

This park and house like many in West London was a private estate. It was purchased by Ealing Council from Sir Spencer Walpole at the turn of the last century. Pitzhanger Manor Museum and Art Gallery has been refurbished and is now open to the public but when we visited last year there was little to see there hardly any furniture of the correct period. As it's free to enter if you are in the park go and have a look they may have located some furnishings and if it rains it's somewhere to shelter. The park has a couple of ponds a stage where they hold the Ealing Blues & Jazz festival and also a comedy festival in the summer every year. One side of the park backs on to the old Ealing Film Studios and there is an small Zoo area there as well. In my youth I remember a talking Parrot, opinion differ to it's name some say Nora others say Lora but I remember she used to say "Hello ?ora*. She has gone now long dead I guess. There is also an avenue of Chestnut trees where we used to collect them for Xmas. It's a good park for walks as it is faily flat and even. The main enterence is on Mattock Lane and th enterence to the back of the park gives access across the road to another Ealing Park Lammas. It used to be a regular place to visit whne our children were young.

This is such a badly designed playground. I have 10 and 8 year old who are fairly active. The climbing frame is difficult to navigate and the slide is almost unreachable. The stones that cover the ground cause a nuisance and get very hot in the summer. What was wrong with rubber mulch or something similar? The park is lovely but terrible playground, what a waste of money
