Charming pub opposite Hyde Park

For our last day in London, we planned a visit to Hyde Park and lunch at The Swan. However, as it was raining cats and dogs, we had to skip the first part and went for just lunch... read more

Visited for a beer or four with friends. Sat outside on a busy Saturday afternoon. The London Pride was excellently kept and was like nectar. The food, in particular the fish and chips was beautifully cooked and we'll presented. The staff are excellent here and the tables were kept clear of used glasses etc. In all a very well run... We were looking for somewhere to eat for our last night in Bayswater and wanted simple good honest pub food. The Swan fitted the bill. As a Fuller's pub there was a good range of real ale's available. However, we shared a bottle of New Zealand Marlborough with our meal, going for the pie options, I having the veggie meal.... More

This is the best place to go on a Saturday night to have a few pints and be part of the crowd! There is a fellow that plays favorites and everyone sings along. Grab a pint of Oliver's Island and settle in for the evening.

I've read the great review and since this is close to our hotel, we decided to check it out, a little crowded but we were patient. We fish & chips and the chicken pot pie, when our food came OMG one order was enough to share, huge portion! The best fish chips by far, fresh and crispy and the chicken... More

So they brought prisoners here for a drink before they were hung - hence "Swan Song". We had Fish-n-Chips. Generous portion but neither of us really became Fish-n-Chips people. But when in London.... They have communal tables, you order inside, go to a table and they bring your food. Like self-serve but not quite. Casual, seemed to have an after... More

Very near Hyde park, a last minute search for Sunday roast led us to The Swan. Busy terrace out front, but space on the upstairs balcony was welcome in the sunshine. Roast beef at £12.50 was hot and came with plenty of meat. Side Vegetables were plentiful and the red cabbage was a welcome surprise. The service has got to... More

After walking most of London for the day and walking back to our hotel, we passed this pub and, being tired, we stopped for a drink. We lucked out. Not only were the drinks very good (wine and beer) but the food was delicious (steak and ale pie and chili). Locals were friendly and very helpful with directions. Stop here... More

If you stay in a hotel near Hyde Park , just between Queensway and Bayswater underground , please pay attention to this pub. It is close to Lancaster Gate stop and you'd better ask for fish and chips or daily pies. Wonderful taste and service. There are some Spanish people in staff so no problem with the language.

Me and my friend visited the Swan restaurant for dinner on Friday night which is near to the Lancaster gate station. We went to the 1st floor and ordered fish and chips. The ambience was ok . The food and service was also ok.
